So...we obviously all have super cool music tastes as we are PRR fans but we all also quite clearly have our guilty pleasures, someone mentioned it in the other thread and it intruiged me...what are yous? Go on then...mine is most definately Paramore at the minute, just can't help myself!

Already said my fondness for Jeff Wayne's musical version of War Of The Worlds, but I'm not guilty about that so it doesn't count. Equally, there are a few records that I *own* that I'm deeply ashamed of (Dodgy's "Free Peace Sweet" for starters) but that I don't really like, so I'm not counting them either. Some things that I do like in spite of my better judgement are: t.A.T.u.'s "All The Things She Said" - great little pop tune. D12's "Purple Hills" - don't know why, I just like it. Fat Les' "Vindaloo" - best football song ever, far better than that 3 Lions rubbish, and dare I say even better than Hoddle and Waddle doing "Diamond Lights"! Chas and Dave's "Rabbit" and "Snooker Loopy" - mainly for Spurs reasons, but they're good singalong songs. Anything up to and including the album "Greatest Hits" by GLC, although not anything after that album - I know, they're totally puerile but there's something about them that made me laugh. Old-skool James Bond theme tunes like Matt Munro doing "From Russia With Love" or Tom Jones doing "Thunderball". Not especially keen on the songs for the Moore-era, but I really like Aha's "The Living Daylights" - in fact I'd go so far as to say that's my favourite Bond tune. The newer ones ("Tomorrow Never Dies" onwards: "Goldeneye" by Tina Turner was horrible) are mostly pretty decent, but they're all by fairly credible artists so they don't count. ...and finally, my Ultimate Guilty Pleasure, a song that I really shouldn't like but is guaranteed to get me on the dance floor under any circumstances... "Sandstorm" by Darude - there is something about that bad boy that I completely love and feel the urge to dance terribly to, even though I know full well that it is nasty, cheesy Euro-trance: it's just great!

Elton John....please don't stone me! You'd have to say though, you'd deserve it! As well as the fact that he writes really, really bad songs, I ****ing hate Elton John due to his W*tf*rd connections: I live near Luton - and half of my family support them, so they're my second team - and Luton hate W*tf*rd!

t.A.T.u.'s "All The Things She Said" - great little pop tune. And I suppose the video has nothing to do with that choice there... I'm pretty much immune to real cheese, I work in the students union and every Friday I have to staff the bar of 'Fruity.' I think it's all in the name really isn't it... but you have to learn to enjoy it otherwise 3am seems a very long way away when you kick off at 9! To be fair, Darude has to be one of the erm, higher quality, tunes I'm likely to hear on Fridays!

Elton John....please don't stone me! You'd have to say though, you'd deserve it! Definitely. It's completely my dad's fault...you'd have him as a guilty pleasure too if all his albums had been played non-stop through your house during your formative years!

Yeah, see, I don't really fancy the girls out of t.A.T.u. all that much, they look a little too much like pre-pubescent boys for me. Louise Redknapp, on the other hand, well that's a different matter altogether - I would cut off all my limbs and crawl to Dundee on my tongue for a night with her! And for what it's worth, I totally HATE cheese in general - lots of nights in shit student cheese-clubs during my uni days when it felt like everyone was having a good time but me. To this day, I still usually end up going home early if my mates are drunk/foolish enough to go to a Jumpin' Jaks or something during a night out. The sound of "Livin' On A Prayer", "Build Me Up Buttercup" or even "Sweet Child Of Mine" is all I need to hear to get in a really depressed mood and run somewhere where I can play some Radiohead/Ladytron/PRR etc... ...which is why it's SO weird that I love Sandstorm...

I love Bruce Springsteen SO MUCH. That always gets me funny looks from anyone my age, but I'm not guilty about it in the slightest.
I like Girls Alouds more upbeat tunes (Sounds of the Underground, Love Machine etc.) but while I'm not running round shouting about it I don't feel guilty about it.

Louise Redknapp, on the other hand, well that's a different matter altogether - I would cut off all my limbs and crawl to Dundee on my tongue for a night with her! but after you've been through all that, do you really think she's sleep with a limbless chap with a dirty tongue? nah, she's content sleeping with the biggest waste of spurs fans money since jason dozzel.

Harry Redknapp Jnr was at least a free transfer though, and he scored that memorable equaliser against the Woolwich Nomads, so he'll always be okay by me.
EDIT - my memory's going: it was Keane who got the equaliser in that game (home game 03/04 season), but Redknapp got the first after we'd gone 0-2 down. D'oh!
There have got to be countless others in the Redknapp era that were a lot worse in terms of both playing abilities and what they cost. I'll see your Louise's Husband and raise you a John Scales just for starters...

exactly, he was a waste of money, even if he was free.
and yes, well remembered, i think Redknapp did snatch the equaliser.
still, Jenas scored an equaliser against the woolwich wanderers, I still can't stand him though!
I'll see your John Scales, and raise you Didier Zokora. utter crap.

Yeah, I'm no Zokora fan either - but he's still far from the worst we've seen in recent years, he's not even the worst in the current squad (yes, I'm looking at you, Ricardo Rocha). Forgetting transfer fees/value for money, in terms of just being a gash player then the likes of Kazuyuki Toda, Andy Booth, Paolo Tramezzani and Grzegorz Rasiak all make Zokora look like Johann Cruyff!
I chose John Scales though cos he cost £4m, he was injured more than Redknapp and Anderton combined, and when he did play he was just utter pony. At least with some of the other rubbish we've had over the years, we managed to flog it on to some other dimwitted football club: Scales was £4m and 3 years' worth of good wages flushed straight down the toilet...

Hmmm, better think of another guilty pleasure to get this thread back on track... I quite liked "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo when it came out. That's pretty low. ;D

I never felt the need to have "cheese" on my iPod... Actually, having an iPod is probably my guilty pleasure, but I just love the way it manages my songs by albums, with the album covers and sometimes lyrics ... And I still listen to AFI at times ... Only their old punk'ish material tho... The latest stuff is completely killed by mainstream success ... Miss Murder is SUCH a BAD song

I enjoy the works of Insane Clown Posse. Yet i'm not that guilty about that. They're just funny!
