Really loving Fields at the moment; 2nd only to PRR in the realm of extremely pleasing-to-the-ear vocal harmonies. Even found some b-sides/EPs I didn't have on Spotify.
Wish they'd say something about the new album.

Aside from the vocal harmony issue I strongly suggest that you take time to listen to Frost's 'Experiments In Mass Appeal' which has a PRR like eclecticness. I was just checking through this thread to see if anyone had raised the possibility of Frost* I know a lot of Frosties are fans of PRR, and I see no reason why it should not work the other way. They are a 'prog' band, but are very much pushing boundaries and often do not go down well with traditional prog fans because of that. I would almost say that what they are doing now fits somewhere inbetween The Dark Third and Amor Vincit Omnia (which I personally think does retain a lot of prog elements - but then my view of 'prog' is as wide as you like). Have a listen to Pocket Sun and the EIMA Sampler on their MySpace www.myspace.com/planetfrost

Archivemyspace.com/archiveuktheir entire new album "Controlling Crowds" is up there to stream now. soundscapemn: I found your blog via Google about a week ago. I think I was searching for "Pure Reason Revolution vocal harmonies", which took me to your "2006 Band Discoveries" post. Found some great suggestions on there! Now working my way through the rest of the site. thanks. I do mention a lot of stuff in there. Hope people find something they like.

I thought it was pretty terrible in fact.

You should try Experiments In Mass Appeal - it's not the one with the red phone box on the front, and is about a million towns away from the first album.
