That said, I'm going to try and restrain myself more with album 3. By the time AVO was released, I'd heard pretty much every track in some form. Has to be said though, it was on the short side for a full album release, I'd love album 3 to be a few tracks longer.
The summer holidays are over and I think I have had adequate time to sit on my arse and relax. Now it is time for us all to get our shit into gear and get on to recording the third Pure Reason Revolution record.
The last few months have been good for all of us to take some time out of the PRR bubble, spread our wings a little and concentrate on other things, but that bubble is calling us home to hibernate in a dark studio for the winter and we would love for you all to join us on the journey.
[glow=red,2,300]I am going to try my hardest to give weekly updates of what is going on in PRRland, hopefully get some video diaries up[/glow] on Youtube and no doubt I’ll be tweeting 24/7 like I usually do.
I’m super excited to get stuck into this record and I know the rest of the guys are too.
P.s. Sorry for being so rubbish at blogging recently, I’ve been filling my face with fresh farm produce.
Emphasis mine. What happened to the video diaries, dammit!?!?!
Right, have allowed myself but one listen as I'm in the middle of furious essay writing but have to say that of 1st impressions I'm not quite sold on the first two samples but the 1 min clip of the 3rd sample was so good. I'm intruiged to see what that's like as a whole song. To be fair, I don't think we can trust sample as really selling us for a song. I found the gloaming sample dull but the song as a whole is incredible.
I agree! I thought the first 2(3?!) samples were terrible! the 'fight fire with fire' one was particularly bad.
quite liked the last snippet I heard though, although it did sound like a mash-up of deus and intention craft. really hope the rest of the album is an improvement, would be a shame if this is a representation of the whole record!

Sp, first listen: Yeah I'm not sold on the Fight Fire one either, I've gotta say, in fact I might go as far as to say it's the first thing PRR have done that I don't like. It sounds out of time...I'm sure thats a desired effect but it sounds wrong to me!
Having said that, I really like the rest, a lot...especially the last one, I'm in love with that track already, can't wait to hear the rest of it! It's very Depeche Mode.
Got the news it was out while I was in the hairdressers, been out all afternoon- torturous waiting!
