I'm not a massive fan of Tempest, I like a lot of it but the heavy riff bit is just so out of place, it feels like it's just been crowbarred into the song because they felt there had to be a heavy guitar part somewhere. It ruins the flow. I agree that it's not going to be my favourite PRR song ever, but I totally dig the part when the heavy riff comes in. It's kind of unexpected, but I hit me as a positive surprise. There's so much happening in this song it's a real joy. Sound-wise Tempest is very H&A, but especially the quiet part starting at 1:17 has a lot of Exact Colour feel to it. I really hope they're going to play this live, as I'm absolutely certain that it'd be amazing.

What does Tempest sound like? Is it a guitar/electronic song? It's all you ever wanted it to be! (Honestly, there's absolutely everything in it.)

Update track times: Valour 3:18 Black Mourning 3:57 Tempest 5:19 Armistice 3:42 TBAOM 4:56 Gaudete 2:26 For some reason, though, Tempest feels like a 7 minute song. Which is good, I guess ;D

Ok, now for the slightly disappointing details: The "edits" are really just edits. On a more positive not, the Valour mix, while still quite close to the original, is really good

I'm hoping that Mixes and Edits is along the lines of the victorious cupid single... Seeing it seems they have no b-sides Indeed. VC is by far one of the best singles I've ever seen. The alternative version is still my favourite, the remix is ace and the acoustics are beautiful.

What an unexpected but welcome way to bookend the bands career. I suppose it would be fool hardy to hope for a 60 min, Pleasant Shade Of Grey length track. OMG!!!

I'm going to the Glasgow show. Friends of mine live in Edinburgh and Glasgow so for me Glasgow will be 'to kill two birds with one stone'. But its the first time I spend money on airplanetickets to see a band play... You won't regret it! Bring your friends for the gig! (And try to stay in Edinburgh, it's sooo much nicer than Glasgow.)
