Hello.
How are you all?
I thought I'd just drop by and say hi... and let you know that I've put a link up on our myspace page to entice some people onto this here forum...
Thanks for your continued support! See some of you at Cargo?
Paul. PRR x

I'd kill to be at Cargo, but alas, I'm a Yankee. Can't wait to hear the new stuff, though!

Hey Paul, cheers for dropping in on us here, nice to know that the 4 Revolutionaries are keeping an eye on this place from time to time - haha! Checking at the Cargo thread, it looks like we've got confirmed appearances from blondeambassador, the dark fourth, ryan and myself so far. (Are other UK forum-ites keeping schtum?) I will have at least 2 other people (not on here - boo!) coming with me though, and hopefully there will be a very decent sized crowd there... though hopefully slightly less packed than the Water Rats was back in April! Anybody else going to Cargo next week? (Obviously, apologies to our overseas members etc who'd love to be there but can't be!)

Haha, and as I type that post, flyingswordfish steams into this thread ahead of me and categorically backs-up my final sentence! ;D

Ha, I'll be taming my dancing after the last time, the last anybody wants to see is themselves rocking out on youtube!! Cringe!

Yeah, you say that now, but come the 26th you'll be looking like Mike Myers in a car with Bohemian Rhapsody on the stereo...

Depends on the level of wine consumption I suppose...but if its anything like normal, one can only presume you'll be about right...

Thanks Paul for dropping by and for putting up the long awaited link on the myspace!! Now all we need is a gig/release to discuss. Only 8 days to go! And I certainly have no plans to curb any cringeworthy dancing tendencies!

Checking at the Cargo thread, it looks like we've got confirmed appearances from blondeambassador, the dark fourth, ryan and myself so far. (Are other UK forum-ites keeping schtum?) I think it's fair to say that most of the other UK-based people are keeping quiet. I wish I could be there, but it's 2 1/2 hours to London and I have 4 hours of lectures the next day.

I was wondering, who is responsible for the cool banner thing advertising the cargo gig that I'm seeing in various places including the top of this page? It's nice...a sign of artwork to come? Mind you we thought that about the water rats artwork....

Mind you we thought that about the water rats artwork.... Chloe designed and created the banner. As for whether it's a complete one-off or there will be more to follow, I have no idea myself.

Yeah, I'll be there.
Seeing as Cargo has a massive fuck off screen, and all the right conections (and a very nice A/V guy) what are the chances of bringing back the projections? Slim I guess, need bits for the new tunes, and it was always done in a really cack-handed way!

Don't have any insider knowledge on this, but I too would be surprised if they brought back the projections for Cargo for much the same reasons as you, Ryan. Whilst I'd love to see PRR playing in front of some great projections, I prefer to have none at all to a set of projections that are just so-so. The only time that projections have really enhanced a show significantly for me was back in the days when type2error did all the projections for HOTS' live shows (I'm pretty sure that the band and the guys at type2error were excellent friends, and as they were both only just starting out, HOTS could still afford type2error's rates before they became the sought-after animators they are today!) - unless a band (any band, not just PRR) has that quality of projections, then I'm just as happy to do without them. But yeah, get it right and they are pretty damn cool!
