Porcupine Tree Singer/Guitarists solo album, had it's public release earlier in the week. Anyone on here bought it? What do you think?

I now have it in 5 different formats - don't ask...
It was my album of the year for 2008.
Seeing as he has now 'released' it in 2009, it will likely be in my top 5 for 2009 as well, it really IS that good. It should have wide-ranging appeal, and I hope it achieves the success it deserves, but I doubt it will.
For me, it brings together aspects he has done with Porcupine Tree, Blackfield, Bass Communion, No-Man and makes them into something even greater.
At the very least, check out Harmony Korine on his MySpace - it is an easily accessible track and will give you an idea of what he has done here.

It's an excellent album, just don't go into it expecting something Porcupine Tree-ish. Significant Other in particular is an awesome track.

I strongly agree, and think it's a definate possibility for album of the year 2009, as I only got it this year. There are some very mellow tracks, but there are some heavier bits, which I was very happy about.

There are some epic tracks on the album. It's a very solid album, and not hard to get into at all.
Mr Wilson sure knows how to make great music:)
