Hey everyone, thought I'd finally start to hawk my friends' band on here as they are hopefully going places atm and should be recording their debut album/mini-album this month. They've supported Frank Turner and DiveDive amongst others. They aren't exactly PRRish, though I know at lesat 2/5 of them have been to see them at Water Rats, but have some not too dissimilar influences (though probs doesn't come out from their music). Cooper Temple Clause, Hope Of The States, Minus The Bear are up there I'd guess. Made Lawrie had a listen and he said he liked it, just to show it's not too partisan. Their Myspace is www.myspace.com/springoffensive and I'd personally reccomend Between One and One-Nine-Four (mathy - well they are an Oxford band!), and A Let Down and Slow Divisions ("anthemic"...probably). It's good stuff IMO, but I would say that so interested to here the opinions of music afficionados here.

Just to shout out that I think you can see my friends' band Spring Offensive play on the 18th March in Staines with A Genuine Freakshow and Cats & Cats & Cats. Quality line-up and suggest people try to make it, though Staines might be problematic for me. Otherwise, Oxford gigs a-plenty. Hopefully I'm not being a terrible person by going ON AND ON but they are really rather good. Their debut mini-album is out 15th March.

They've just released a free download 14 minute single at drop.io/DREAMSABOUTMONSTERSIt's brilliant, and this is the sort of lovely forum whereby 14 minutes is more likely to entice than scare off!
