I agree last nights show was amazing. Great turnout also. Why does it have to be the last show to get people out. They seem to really got it together sound and performance wise in the last couple of years. The older material in particular was really sounding solid, and the material from the last two albums is sounding great also. Ok there is always the old technical hitch .. but this is PRR after all!
In the end I felt sad leaving knowing I wasn't going to see them again but we should take heart in Chloe's parting words "We will be back in some form or another" whatever that means ..

Never have I willed something to work as much as I did Jamies gear for Trembling Willows.

Trembling Willows was sounding as good as I've ever heard it, without any of Jamie's guitar! He kept singing like a trooper though. Also I swear it's always trembling willows that things go wrong for - it's such a hot tune that amps just explode when it comes on.
Anyways, I don't really have anything more to say. This tour has been the perfect ending. I have such gratitude to everyone involved, including all of you on the forum. Sorry for my incessant and mindless ramblings over the years!

I've only seen Twyncyn twice and both times something went wrong. Jon's amp at Hoxton and poor Jamie's lead(?) last night.
He styled it out very well though by getting the final riff in.

Just a few shots from the last couple of gigs. Not really in the mood right now for more editing... goo.gl/6zgJDThese are amazing, btw!

Really enjoyed last night. Sad to see them go, hope they carry on making music and will be keeping an eye out for their new projects in the future.
One thing I found a bit odd - at the very end Jon seemed to just disappear off stage right after AVO finished, while the other 3 were still on stage waving and saying goodbye. Maybe he was just too overcome with emotions?

I'm feeling about the same as Lawrie...despite all my fears I'd be an emotional wreck, I actually enjoyed last night so much it was impossible to feel too down! No tears...though I did come close during AVO, as Chloe quite accurately predicted! It really was the best I think I've seen them, they gave it everything they've got and it really, really showed. Great turnout, great atmosphere and the perfect way to go out- much better to burn out than fade away and all that!
The most sad part of it for me is that a band so good, who can pull performances like that out of the bag, struggled to get the attention they deserved as last night, I'd have challenged anyone to watch that gig and not be blown away.
So lovely to see everyone that was there too and to share a few drinks afterwards...PRR have brought loads of great memories for me and many of those include the people I've met on these boards and at gigs- as everyone says, it might be the end of PRR but it isn't the end of the friendships that I've made along the way.

Well said BA! One thing I found a bit odd - at the very end Jon seemed to just disappear off stage right after AVO finished, while the other 3 were still on stage waving and saying goodbye. Maybe he was just too overcome with emotions? I think Jon is actually unemotional, though you could tell he was moved at the end of AVO (he actually tried to get the audience clapping, which he's never done before!). He probably just left cos he's not one to make a fuss of things. He also left the afterparty without saying goodbye to anyone, unlike the other three! But that's why we love him.

While you're right and he hasn't been one to make a fuss in the past, the venue had sorted a taxi for him and it turned up and he had to dash, so I wouldn't take the lack of goodbyes as anything!

That was a hard gig to watch....very emotional! Had AVO playing in my head ever since! Hope the forum keeps going! Would be a good way to find out what the band are up to. Had to shoot off after the gigs, did I miss anything at the afterparty?

It was mostly a case of the band being swamped by fans and friends and the rest of us all commiserating each other. Quite fun though! We gave them a card signed by a lot of us from the forum (thanks to mhx)

I know a couple of people have mentioned it, so I just wanted to confirm that we have no intention of closing the forum, it'll still be here
