For what it's worth I thought I'd post this here. Jon Courtney's new project appears to have been revealed, and it's taking the form of a collaboration with Sammi Doll (generally known as live keyboardist and backing vocals for IAMX and Losers). It's been in the works for around two years according to Sammi, and the band are now signed to Superball Music with a full album planned for next year. You can hear the first taster at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmlmn3YHpNsIt's easy to hear the qualities that best distinguished PRR, vocal harmonies, driving keyboards and infectious melodies. This certainly sounds rougher and more direct than PRR, which certainly ensures it sounds like it's own thing and not just a continuation of PRR, but by the same note, I think you'd be hard pressed not to like this if you enjoyed the last two PRR albums. Just happy to see Jon is writing and putting out music again, it's been way, way to long!

Yeah, I was saying I think it's much more hammer and anvil than anything else. And this Sammi person sounds ridiculously like Chloe. In any event - new Courtney tracks on the horizon is the best musical news I've heard in a long time.

Er yeah, so I've logged into this place for the first time in literally years to see whether anyone else was talking about Bullet Height now the full debut album has finally dropped. It's really good, innit? Anyway, see ya round if anyone ever visits these long-deserted boards again.

Checked it out after you mentioned it, and you're not wrong. Also inspired me to listen to some PRR albums again. Does make me wonder what else I've missed from these guys over the years.

It does feel that it has followed on from the direction of Hammer and Anvil, and without any disrespect to either Chloe or Sammi, it does seem that Jon got Sammi in to play a similar role and sing similar parts. I'd be really interested if live they play some of the late era PRR stuff.
