Yeah...actually, while I wasn't that fond of Pushing The Senses, Comfort In Sound, the album after the drummer died, although easy listening, was still pretty good- live, there was so much emotion in there I couldn't not like it! Glad they've got their energy back now though, will be checking them out at Reading this year I think. They used to be one of my favourite bands, along with My Vitriol, they were the first rock band I actually got into. couldn't agree more. Comfort In Sound was fantastic. oddly enough, I saw them support Coldplay in 2003, and 'come back around' tore the roof off earls court. I wish My Vitriol would do more! They're really dis-respectful to their fans who've hung on for ages for them though, kind of a let down! such an amazing band though. I'd really hate Som Wardner if he wasn't so damn good at writing songs!

I quite like Feeders newer stuff. Their new record is pretty good n'all as it happens. Good summer tunes.

Ha - I just woke up and realize I missed quite the discussion!
Viva La Vida is amazing. Here's why: It sounds like The Police, U2, and Coldplay got together and made one of the most grand rock albums ever. It's nothing like what they've done before, it almost reaches concept album territory. And it has the same epic sort of quality due to its production values as the great David Bowie albums of the past (probably has something to do with Brian Eno).

Yeah you can't slate Bowie!! they were the first rock band I actually got into. Snap! I remember buying Polethyne on whim back when I was ooh...very young indeed. Brought me to my musical senses pretty sharpish! Still love that album, though I agree Comfort in Sound deserves more credit than it's often given. I also like Echo Park quite a lot...I believe I may be seeing them live soon, my friend won tickets off a thingy...should be good fun! By the way, neckroman, is it a Dennis Wilson album or a Brian Wilson album that is coming out/has come out? I thought Dennis was dead...so must be a rerelease of sorts if it's him
