He tends to be a bit rubbish with stuff like that. I know he's busy at Uni and that mind. Just poke him a bit more, I'm sure he'll sort it sooner or later.

Haha, how'd you know them?! They have an album too, it's a bit of an Oceansize rip off in places but it's pretty good for what it is. The lead singer is doing solo stuff: www.myspace.com/charliebarnesHe has an album that's alright really, send him a message and I'm sure he can get it to you.

I wouldn't go so far as saying Red Sparowes are doing anything 'experimental', who is in post rock these days?! Very good albums none the less though.
Sticking with post-rock Yndi Haldas 'enjoy eternal bliss' ep is stunning (i know, not an album but it's an hour long!). Again, not doing anything new in the genre really, quite godspeedy, but they have a slightly more uplifting vibe to a lot of their stuff that's heard less often in post rock.

Now that is a great album!
I'll have a think... I'm doing Uni work so I can't be writing some bog long thing now!

I saw Vessals the othe night. Quite good, a bit like Battles but more post-rockey really, worth checking out.

I have the money physically, it's just not something I can justify it on over the electricty bill sadly.
Not like it'll be the last time or 'owt. Shame but I'll get over it.

Bah, left getting a ticket for a while and I'm proper broke now. Sucks 'cos it's only 30 minutes down the road on a bus n'all.

There have been a few, ULU, that one in Reading (the one with acoustic and electrics sets, remember? that was an AMAZING gig) and Islington Bar academy but all acoustic sets, never in an electric set.

Goshens I'd REALLY like to hear. It's only been done acoustic to my knowledge.

If it's the same sound guy as last time I was there, it'll be a fairly safe mix (ie, vocals up front, then guitars, drums and bass lowest, keys somewhere in the middle) and it'll be needlessly loud for the room 'size. S'what it's been like both times REVERE've been there. Sounds ok, could be better could be worse really.

Yeah, it is in Kings Cross. It's not that big but I'd have thought they'd struggle with very much bigger at the moment.

The recent forum one? It's worth checking dimeadozen for the Matrix, it uses bits of Duncans recordings to flesh out another. Sounds great. I can't say how good he is as a taper though, he sent me a couple of DVDs full of his recordings, all great stuff.
Just listening to Deus Ex Machine now, this would be a fantastic direction to go in. I watched that youtube video back when it was first posted but had forgotten really... it's got a great dark vibe going on.
