OK, a few opinions are dotted about the forum but thought it probably deserves its own thread...verdict on the new track? (For those who didn't go and who haven't already seen it, some very good person has stuck a live version on youtube here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9wy81tT_dA)

I fell in love with it immediately! Someone on Polish PRR forum said: “all I miss here (on the stage) is Trent Reznor”, and I think I can agree with that. I hope that the studio version will be nowhere near NIN (although I love this band with all my heart). Maybe something like Golden Clothes? Anyway, I can’t order artist to write or record what I want. I can only accept or reject what he offers. Knowing me, I will gobble anything that has the label PRR on it, despite all associations . I already love it!

I also noticed the NIN 'industrial' feel to the track. But I don't mind that, I think it's an ace tune.
The three newest PRR tracks to come out (Golden Clothes, Victorious Cupid and Deus Ex Machina) cover dance/techno, rock and industrial metal, and that's the kind of variety that makes PRR really interesting!

Exactly! Variety is a virtue! I'm really happy that they are not going to record The Dark Third 2. I was worried about the follow-up to SUCH a stunning album as TDT is, now I see (or rather hear) that it was not necessary, as they have a million mind-blowing ideas up their sleeves!

it's a great track. its a cross between led zepplin and nine inch nails. you can tell the band have gone more electro, they have Justice on theire top friends on Myspace. should make for an interesting second album!

I gotta be brutally honest here guys, that song really didn't do much for me. Maybe part of it is the quality of the recording and also it being more raw live, but that on 1st impression, maybe one of the least unique songs I've ever heard from them including the SUNSET SOUND material.
I guess I wanna hear the studio version before I can be more clear on that, and I am not much into Industrial or NIN, and I'm all for DIVERSITY and CHANGING/PROGRESSING..but that song seemed kinda muddied down and simple actuallly, and in more of a minor key.

Don't go knocking the sunset sound, i love that stuff!
Anyway, hard to go by a youtube video obviously but I like the electronic elements being bought in (I don't think you could compare it to Industrial music on NIN though). Better than Cupid though...

Theres quite a difference in the roughness overall betwen PRR live and on record - I love both So, whilst Deus Ex sounds rough / industrial live(this could in part be the less than wonderous sound quality of the vid) I am confident that a shiner, smoother beast will emerge from the studio... I just wish I could ahve the opporyunity to hear the thing live for myself
