I've had a glass of this particular wine each night for the past few days, it's been growing on me, a merlot - a kind I rarely buy. But It's good enough to give me that very warm and enchanted, slightly snockered (Is that the British term?) feeling, without a gross aftertaste of other cheaper wines. I bought the bottle just because it had a peace symbol on it, then I just noticed tonight that "Peace" is the name of the family vineyard, and the neck of the bottle is marked with the signature of the head of the Peace clan, "Andrew Peace." This is especially enchanting, as my own name is Andrew, and as an author in training I love to find odd sources like that for names for characters.
Anyway - this is a thread with which we may discuss wine and wine drinking experiences.
Personally I don't drink much, only about a glass a night, every other night. But when I do, I'm constantly trying to experiment with new wines, usually under the 25$ mark.

Don't drink the stuff, haven't really got a taste for it. I don't actively dislike wine, but if there are other alcoholic drinks available then unless it's something foul like tequila or summat, I would choose most other alternatives ahead of a glass of wine.

I'm quite a big wine fan, generally white over red though except with a meal. My little wine foible is that I prefer one called Petit Chablis, from just outside the Chablis region to the expensive stuff itself, and thats not just because its cheaper!

I very much like red. Sadly I'm a student and I don't often get to drink nice bottles, when I do it's because someone else has bought it for a meal/while were out and I don't tend to know what it is.

Yeah, same here, luckily my parents know that so if they ever come to visit, a bottle of nice wine is usually in hand!
