...that can't be final.
The change after the first verse doesn't make any sense at all - the whole "color" or energy of the song just switches completely, drastically.
Other than that odd gripe - it's good. It's good.

I'm sure we've had this discussion about the Superball version on an old thread and we agreed it wasn't the finished version.

That version is more similar to the demo version that was on the band's myspace back when Victorious Cupid came out ... They probably just play it differently live. The version on Live At Nearfest is from 2007, while the demo and this version are pretty recent. So yea, that'd have to be the "final" version... The album comes out next month, there can't be much change at this point ... pretty much everything you've said there is wrong. actually, yeah, everything you've said there is wrong.

pretty much everything you've said there is wrong. actually, yeah, everything you've said there is wrong. The album comes out in september, it's in the Live At Nearfest album sleeve ... To be fair isador, Blonde Ambassador has already pointed out in that other thread that the date in the liner of the NEARfest album doesn't necessarily mean that's what will happen in reality. Obviously, we're all hoping for the new album ASAP, but I don't think that you should take the Live album's liner note as gospel truth on this for the time being. As I understand it, even the band themselves aren't sure exactly when Album 2 will hit the shelves, so nothing's set in stone at the moment.

I'm not with this...so, we don't take the nearfest liner notes as gospel? fair enough. Do we take the Superball release as gospel then? From what Nekroman implies, the 2nd album is NOT coming out in September. Anybody really know?

To be honest, I'd say nope, we don't really know. I've already said what I think but it's just my guess from an accumulation of various sources, none of them 100% by any means.

See, I think this is the point! It's my understanding that NO ONE knows for definite when the second album will come out. Not the band, not the label, not anybody - because the album isn't quite finished yet. September could end up being the month it gets released, but any number of factors could delay that. The bottom line is that until Superball/the band/their management make an official announcement saying that Album 2 will be released on DD/MM/YY then nothing is set in stone.

That version of Deus has been on Superballs myspace since about two weeks after the first demo was on PRRs, it's not new/
