Hello guys, I'm a new PRR fan. I heard a lot of good stuff about this band (From a Muse forum. In fact, if you google 'Pure Reason Revolution Messageboard' you'll find a thread on a Muse forum at the very top, though it's not the MuseLive.com one which I read) so I decided to check them out and I'm loving it! When I became a Muse fan I was disappointed to see that they had played in Holland 3 times just a month before. That was in December 06, and I still haven't been to a Muse gig. But this time I'm lucky! I found out that they're playing in Holland the 14th of October. I can't wait! Greetings from an excited brand new Pure Reason Revolution fan!

How much is known about the 2nd album so far? Do they play full new songs at gigs at the moment, or just some riffs? I'm seeing if I can get any other people from my class to like the band and maybe come with me to the gig.

Aside from Golden Disco (which is the electronic breakdown part of Golden Clothes, which can be found on disc 2 of the European release of The Dark Third), to my knowledge PRR always play entire songs during their live sets... barring any technical hitches of course! So far, tracks from Album 2 that have been played in their live sets are Victorious Cupid, Deus Ex Machina, Gloaming, Apogee Of My Love and Les Malheurs. Hopefully all of these will be joined by one or two more new ones on the forthcoming autumn tour. Though personally I would just settle for hearing a whole gig of Les Malheurs played over and over again...

I have on purpose not been listening to live performances of new songs, so that the gig will hopefully be full of surprises for me Besides Victorious Cupid, I haven't heard any of those songs yet.

So yeah, I'm going to see PRR in Holland again this Saturday, they are playing along with Quidam and After in Zoetermeer. I don't know After (which is a PITA to google for) but Quidam is nice too. It should be better than their show on October 14th last year (which I started this thread for), there were only 50 people ('It's not much but we're here!' someone shouted) or so in the room and the supporting band was shit They ended with The Intention Craft though, which was awesome. It was their first real gig in Holland as far as I know. They had been in Holland before, but only as a supporting band. They were gone rather quickly after The Intention Craft, I don't think they were very happy with the gig. There were some problems with the mic in the start too, Chloe kept signalling to the back to turn it up louder. I like AVO, but so far I like the first album more. Maybe it just has to grow on me. It's certainly an interesting direction they took. I'm looking forward to Saturday anyway!
