Has steven wilson got anything to do with the producton of the new album? I just noticed chloe did the artwork for the new gavinharrison 05RIc album which, along with touring with blackfield and porcupine tree, seems to show a v. strong link between prr and porcupine tree related stuff.

From what I've heard, I wouldn't be surprised at all, I know there was talk of it but just don't know if it actually came to anything- both sides certainly expressed interest in the idea. I think the main reason it wouldn't happen would be Steven's availability as he's quite a busy man!

I heard it was supposed to happen for the last one but couldn't be done for whatever reason. I was led to believe they were mostly self-producing this one though...

getting SW to produce the album would be a master stroke...I get the impression that SW has taken PRR under his wing with the European tours and the management help. I wouldn't be surprised to see him guesting with PRR on their next UK tour in order to restart their career here. Maybe we'll hear from the boys (and lovely lady) soon?

Don't think it's going to happen as PRR have already been working on the next album whilst SW has been out on tour for the last 2 months and will remain out on the road with PT until the middle of December.

He could still help with PRR tours next year though...as smudger was hypothesising.
