well, whatever the thoughts are on the album artwork, The sounds inside are more than amazing and will make up for whatever dissapoinment you may be feeling!

You know, I think I could come round in time. It's already starting to grow a little on me. At least the symbolism is a tad more subtle than the dark third. Emphasising the darker side to love and all that. And it does hit the mood perfectly, as I've already said. I just think the ugliness could be a little....prettier.

I don't suppose nekroman can provide us with any more details (number of tracks, album length, etc)? But I totally understand if that's out of bounds.
I'm really excited about this. I like the album art because I think it feels more "electronic." I'm sure we'll get the full meaning of it when we hear the album.

There is are so many worse (or not aesthetically pleasing) album covers out there... You. have. no. idea. Of course, I understand if my opinion is different from yours I clearly have no idea about anything...self-righteous much?  Was that an attempt at making me seem like an idiot? I know perfectly well what's an opinion, and the fact that I brought an example of a "worse" album cover was to prove that there is much more to an album cover than how beautiful it looks... Of course, just because I said something about the Sonic Youth album cover, it suddenly became extremely aesthetically pleasing to everyone... Also, I wasn't stating that anybody is wrong, just pointing out the fact that there are millions of album covers out there, and from my (limited) experience with extremely obscure post-rock bands, album covers can be eye-melting ugly... *goes back in the corner* I'm gonna get quoted at least 3 times for this post  |

Bit strong don't you think, really its pretty obvious I wasn't going to respond well to that! Anyway, enough bickering...I at no point was saying AVO is the most ugly album cover I've ever seen etc, I just am disappointed because they're my favourite band and I would like to like it but I don't because I don't think it's very pretty to look at. I at no point deny that what is inside it is a million times more important...you know, in an ideal world I'd just love it to be perfect but as soon as I whack the CD in my computer I am sure I won't care one litle bit if they had people blowing kittens heads off as the front cover...(why that came into my mind worries me, but it makes my point I think) Simple really... |
