np..I fig'd everyone around here already read the blog and checked it out. It's pretty sweet. The band should eventually release an entire lp/ep of remixes and acappella versions since they have a handful of them now.

This sounds so cool!! It's much better than that weird Intention Craft acap that they had a while ago, where it was litterally the song without the instuments. It can be easy to forget just how insanely brilliant PRR at singing.

That's all this is! The only difference is they've cut out all the instrumental gaps on this one, the intention craft had them left in. There's also more layering of vocals with effects on and stuff on the newer stuff which makes a vocal mix-down sound more 'complete'.

Well that's what I mean, it's a much more attractive a capella song. And it doesn't have the weird gaps. I'd also love to hear vocal-only versions of several other songs (disconnect springs to mind, maybe apogee) and also what about an instrumental or two? I think you could do a really cool instruments-only version of Les Malheurs or something, or maybe a quiet one like Bloodless. And by that I don't mean just the song with the vocals taken off, I mean a remixed version with perhaps more instuments but no vocals. I think PRR songs generally have huge scope for being reworked, it would be awesome to see some more of this at some point.

This is the first I've heard of an a cappella Intention Craft. Was it just on their myspace?
I'd love it if they released the actual source tracks (like Nine Inch Nails did) so fans could remix the songs. Wouldn't require any extra work, and they wouldn't lose money because of people mixing the album themselves!

I agree, that would be a great idea. I suspect it's not an idea that has occured to the band though...and if it did they'd probably think there wasn't really demand for that kinda thing...

lot's of bands have done it. Remixes albums at least. I suppose it's a cost and time thing, but if it's a question of their fans wanting it, I don't think they'd have to question it. The casual/fringe fans maybe not, but the folks around here would go for it. Maybe just a digital album or something?

Lawrie could you please make a link once again for it to be downloaded? I think as Jon agreed for it before he wouldn't mind it now

How many *special* tracks have the released? I have got all the tracks on albums, but as far as I know, they've done Gaudete, this and this Intention Craft a cappella...

That's it for web-releases I think.
There was an acoustic version of Intention Craft, and the first web version of Vicarious Cupid but I think they are both the same as on the VC single.
