Huh, well done glithar! Astonishing that it took one of us to actually contact the label to find out about this! Lack of GC sucks, though I guess I can see how they wouldn't have wanted to do a side E!

Hi all, just thought I'd stop by and respond to some of the comments about the vinyl release of The Dark Third. Firstly, please accept my apologies about the seemingly endless delays in getting the LP manufactured and ready for sale. This record took a long time to get the necessary permissions and licenses in place for because the UK rights are owned by one music company (Sony BMG) and the European rights by another (Inside Out). The band consider the European version to be the definitive version and in order to release that version (which has extra tracks that weren't on the UK version) in the UK it took an awful lot of going back and forth between all parties to get the necessary permissions and licenses in place. This took months - you wouldn't believe how complicated the music business can be. With regards to the dropping of Golden Clothes, regrettably vinyl is restricted in the amount of music that can be squeezed onto one side of vinyl. Additionally, different pressing plants have different limitations for the amount of music that they can get onto one side of a LP depending on the equipment that they use. In this case, we were warned by our manufacturers that there was simply too much music in the bonus tracks to fit onto one side of vinyl. We looked at messing around with the running order to try and make everything fit, but that just caused more and more problems. In the end the simplest thing to do was just drop the last bonus track, which was Golden clothes. It meant all the other tracks fitted perfecftly over 4 sides of vinyl without changing the running order, and that seemed the best option. The LPs are now finished and available to buy, priced £16.99. They can be purchased from our own webstore at www.primalvinyl.co.uk, but also from our Amzon or Ebay store. Its a shame that the band have now decided to call it a day, but I hope the LPs will be a fitting tribute to what was a great band and a classic album. Kind regards Rob Primal Vinyl

I've got to pick mine up from the post office tomorrow, but super fast shipping indeed!
Here's a question for Mr. Record Label person, did you get a new master for the vinyl or was it cut from the CD master?
