Pre-PRR Chloe, that is. Apologies for the worst pun this side of The Sun's front page! ;D Anyways, I've been going into full-on Comic Book Guy nerd mode lately and looking to see if I could find any pre-PRR material from Jon's old band Gel. I couldn't find any stuff by Gel, but what I did stumble across was a song by Chloe's former band, The Period Pains. They were teenagers when they released a punky anti-Spice Girls song (called Spice Girls (Who Do You Think You Are?)) in 1997. If anyone's interested in hearing the song, then you could do worse than browsing to the following hyperlink: sweepingthenation.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.htmlInteresting to see where your musical heroes' roots are... now if someone could just get me Thom Yorke's pre-On A Friday material under the name Flickernoise...

I actually purchased a 7" vinyl by period pains a couple of months ago...they recorded it with John Peel, and it sounds, I'll be frank, appallingly bad. It is nice how both Jon and Chloe started out with bands at the opposite extreme from PRR. www.damagedgoods.co.uk/periodpains/index.html if anyone's interested.
