I like The Intention Craft video, and I also generally like the blokes who made it, type2error: they've worked with a lot of bands I like and made a lot of videos that I like. Their video for TIC is very much in the style of one they did earlier for a band called Hope Of The States: the video was for The Red The White The Black The Blue, and it looks very similar: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJwNPEczJ6gLike I say, I like The Intention Craft video, but it's nowhere near the best video ever for me. In fact, my nomination is another type2error video, and another one for a Hope Of The States song. It's for Black Dollar Bills (one of the best songs ever written, and I'm a bigger PRR fan than I am a HOTS fan), check it out: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVjvz9zSxNs

Tragically (I say that in the context that I saw one of their early gigs in Oxford where Razorlight were supporting them, and Razorlight are massively successful now whereas HOTS are finished), they split after their second album, Left, in 2006. The full details have never truly come out, but it's thought that the relatively poor sales of the second album played a part (rumoured that Sony dropped them - reinforcing what PRR have shown, that Sony know **** all about supporting a band), and there were also apparently musical differences between some of the members - though several of the band members are participating in each other's projects going forward. A true shame that they split: their debut (The Lost Riots) was excellent, and of ALL the bands I like they had by far and away the best collection of b-sides, demos and unreleased songs, many of which were better than anything they ever released on an album. They were my introduction to PRR, and if I remember rightly Chloe thanks Anthony Theaker (their lead guitarist/Jonny Greenwood-type) in the sleevenotes of the UK original release of The Dark Third. I get melancholy every time I think of the band, and realise I'll never hear them write a song as Hope Of The States again...

I always thought Hope of the States were fantastic songwriters, but the singer's voice really got on my nerves for some reason. But yeah the video for Black Dollar Bills is great! Although the Intention Craft one is probably even better...suits the song so well.
