Fair point DF, although I don't see Harkins complaining about the location, so you're half-right again. Tell you what, leave any opinion of WR till after you've been and then tell me if I'm wrong. With regard to Scat, almost certainly a sell-out, you will need a ticket.

Well I've been to WR while following a near-unknown band around. The sound seemed fine to me, but they were just a guitar led rock band. I hope it attracts a fair number of people, in a small venue like that it makes a big difference.
Unfortunately I wont be there, I'm in America. Say, d'you think there's any chance of a show in Oklahoma City?

If it's the same sound guy as last time I was there, it'll be a fairly safe mix (ie, vocals up front, then guitars, drums and bass lowest, keys somewhere in the middle) and it'll be needlessly loud for the room 'size. S'what it's been like both times REVERE've been there. Sounds ok, could be better could be worse really.

Monto Water Rats Current mood: enthralled Category: Music
Dear everyone and everyone else,
We have a gig. Yes, a real gig where we're all on stage, as a unit, in an actual venue playing PRR tunes as opposed to rocking foetal-like in dark cobwebbed corners of our studio praying that our fans haven't abandoned us to the Cheeky Girls and the dulcet croak tones of Adele. We will grace the stage with our lofty presence at 9.15pm on the 12th of April in the hope of entertaining a packed-out Water Rats with this premiere, one off special filled to the brim with sounds and haircuts both old and new. And, having subjected you to an entire hour of PRR, you'll be able to find us amongst the Flirtinis at an exclusive after party where, when not mingling engaged in witty repartee, we will be DJing till the early hours. Christmas really doesn't come much earlier than this. Tickets will be available on the door at a mere 7 UK pounds. Should you wish to pre-book, the following links should point you in the right direction:

I'm booked up too now! I have a mate going who is a long-term PRR fan who is on his way over from Belfast to see his first ever PRR gig, so hopefully the show will live up to all his expectations!

So Yeah, I might go to this. Tickets are selling fast!
This is just a one off show as like an 'escape from the studio' kinda thing so the fans have something to keep them going!

Yes, and we'll have the new album (due in March) to keep us going as well. I guess the Show on the 12th April will be all the new album material?
