Or, more specifically, where is he? For I saw this live link in PRR's wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Dobsonthat's right, Jim has his own page. Judging from what's there, I think he wrote it himself dammit, if I tried to write an article about myself, it would be deleted in 3 minutes flat: Stuart Nock, b March 28, 1986. Is a lazy student.

"He has considered going into acting after pretending to cry while being dismissed from the group. This was surely an oscar winning performance in itself." Doesn't sound like something you'd write yourself to me!

The page appears to be constantly deleted, vandalised and otherwise mucked about with by both pro and anti-Jim people. It just seems a bit petty, frankly.

Recent addition to the page, I assume by Wiki, points towards somebody in Reading screwing about with the page. Wonder who that may be? Come to think of it, the band never DID announce anything re Jim. So are they now saying they kicked him out? Curiouser and curiouser. Why?? anyone know? From Jamies remarks on myspace they thought, rather they knew, that Jim had deleted the old Myspace and had informed the polis. What happened about that? WE NEED TO KNOW!!

I didn't see anything on myspace regarding the hacking that indicated that Jim did it. I think Jim was asked to leave because of strained relationships and it just wasn't working, like most times when someone leaves a band. What I meant was that remarks like 'picked up a guitar aged 15 (and accidentally dropped it shortly after)' is the kind of humorous thing you'd write about yourself.

Hmmm...as baldyslaphead said, it all seems a bit petty and pointless really... Although the fact the edits were done in Reading could suggest certain things, I very seriously doubt it was any of the band themselves, I would think a friend or something who wanted have a bit of a muck around would be much more likely.
I can't help thinking it's just a bit of a waste of time that could carry things on that really should be over and done with by now.

I suspect something simular to the way the PRR page kept being changed from Jim having left to the being removed.
Tres childish.

from what I've heard from various people, James was kicked out of the band because of his attitude problem.
I'm a huge PRR fan, and I met him a few times, he wasn't a very nice guy, and he was just generally rude and arrogant where all the others were really nice to me and were happy to hang out and talk.

Mmm...I'm not convinced it's best for us to speculate to be honest, as we're all gonna have our own opinions-I certainly wouldn't say I ever found Jim anything less that pleasant to me but who knows what goes on behind the scenes - all we can base this on is rumours and hearsay.
As far as I'm concerned, that's all their own business and PRR have come on a million miles this year and are clearly moving on from anything that has happened in the past. If they wanted us to know all the ins and outs, I'm sure we would, PRR generally keep their fans very informed so there has obviously been good reason for them to keep this to themselves.

exactly, I agree with Blondie, onwards and upwards! The band seem alot happier now, and it shows in thier performace
Jim is gone, and I'm sure it was the best decision for all involved.

New drummer = Paul Glover. Anders left very amicably by choice to be with his family more as far as I know, I'm not quite sure why they never explained that! The old sound girl has indeed left, their new one has been with them since the Blackfield tour at least and seems set to stick about for a while- their sound has come on miles too, I think, I didn't have any complaints about it at all on this last tour and thats a first for as long as I can remember!

their sound is ok now. i saw them at this surround sound gig in reading a while ago and the sound wasn't great but i suppose they were trying something new. I don't understand why all their crew left too. was there a falling out?

I don't know, I'm pretty sure there wasn't-I think it was just natural moving on, I think their old sound girl just moved onto other things as happens. They don't use a guitar tech at the minute I don't think- on European and American tours especially it's not suprising, the more crew you take the more expensive it gets, obviously.
