I might be being dim and have this wrong but I don't think I've heard these live recordings before (not the first time I've heard these songs done acoustically...but you know, for any completists out there  ) It's The Intention Craft and Aprentice of the Universe. Both new to me: how on Earth do you manage to find these things? You must have a team of researchers crawling the web for all things PRR!  Of course, being something of a completist (nowhere near the ultimate level of Baldy Slaphead though, that man has *dedication*!), I practically leapt for the Save Target As option straight away: ta muchly! ;D |

When you've got an essay to do, it's amazing what you can find...haha, no, but if you type PRR into google every now and again, the order of the results obviously changes cos I certianly don't always get the same things- things like that crop up every now and again!
(And the fact that this forum doesn't even show up in the first 5 pages demontrates the inaccuracies of google haha!)

Holy hell, who recorded these?! Looks like it was "Surge 1287AM" They must have done it just before the Southampton gig. Sounds very nice, if I do say so...don't think I've heard Aprentice acoustic before... |

it was recorded by a southampton student radio thing back in 2006 before a show at the joiners. think it was the week before the dark third came out?
you can see it being recorded in one of the videos on youtube i think.

Yup, the sound is bass is fairly tacky, and the vocals never sound quite as good recorded live as they do in the studio, but apart from that I thought they were quite nice recordings.

I didn't mean the bass tone, I mean it distorts. Pretty much anytime it gets a bit loud it clips, like the recording levels were all wrong.
