Dear lord...I land after a month in China at 5am 30th July...haha, oh well, at least I can make it, I'm just glad it wasn't the 29th! Ha thats verging on spooky! As I said I would, I retract my criticism for a lack of update, nice one Paul!

Sweet - one Barfly ticket ordered! I'll probably be on my lonesome this time unless I can convince any of my mates from home to get past their "PRR only have one song" prejudice (one or two of my mates initially liked them but were pissed off by TBAOM being released so many times - fair enough, really - and by the Bright Ambassadors reprise in He Tried To Show Them Magic - mates are morons for that one). BA/TDF, see you there if you're going (looks like BA will be by the skin of her teeth!); and hopefully some other forum members will be there to meet up with as well. Back to the bulletin - the idea of a bigger slice of the new material being played live is just about on a par with the offer of a night with Louise Redknapp! Can't wait! Good to see we (we few, we loyal few forumites) got another mention - hopefully more people can nerd it up on these boards with the rest of us. And I went to their last.fm page out of curiosity after Paul's link - think it's time for them to update their picture on that bad boy! Anyway, as always, any news is good news - I'm happy. ;D

I think I'll give the Barfly gig a miss. Can't really afford, and to be honest I'd be suprised if there was more than one new tune. I've seen the rest of the set enough. In an ideal world I'd go, but I'm not gunna kick myself about not being able to (though I'm ready to be proven wrong!)

Yeah I didn't say, been at work all night, but also very happy about all the news, makes me pleased to be able to say my faith in them is coming true and they do seem to be making visible progress ;D I really wasn't expecting a summer show, so kudos to them for deciding to venture out and play one!

Friad it's no go for me, much as a piece of my soul is destroyed by saying so...I shall be adventuring in Europe this summer...
For me the most exciting part of this update is the promise of an Autumn tour.
Is anyone seeing the Deus Ex Machina Live track on myspace? My update thing says "PRR uploaded new music - Deus Ex Machina Live" but it doesn't seem to be there.

My Myspace update has said "Pure Reason Revolution have uploaded new music" on a few occasions in the past, but never says what has been uploaded. I can't see a live version of Deus on there either, TDF, but it does look like Twyncyn/Willows has gone back up on their player so maybe that's it? Got to say, whenever I do see the "PRR have uploaded new music" message and it turns out to be something I've seen before, my heart does do a somewhat...

Just got back from the pub, and lo and behold the Nearfest version of Deus Ex Machina (Live) is up on the PRR Myspace: wahoo! Sounding really, really good - it's an excellent mix IMO, and is particularly good in the clarity and level of the vocals. Really looking forward to the Nearfest album now if that's the quality of recording we can look forward to.

Curious: What is their connection to Danish rock band Mew? They've been friends on Myspace for ages. Both are phenomenal, BTW.

I think everyone owes Adam an apology, he's done an awesome job.

I have to admit, I have never been a huge fan of Deus Ex Machina, I like VC much better, but this new live version sounds a bit better. They cut some stuff that wasn't sounding so hot, and added in some cool new stuff in its place, including a more pronounced electric guitar (or maybe that's just the "live" effect). Still can't get over the "altar" part though. It just doesn't flow with the song; it slows the beat down or something--I don't know. Other than that, pretty rock solid. It is definitely improving though, and it will most likely be even more refined at the official release! Awesome!
