On the subject of photos, here's some more (taken from the "second row", so all my attempts at group shots had other photographers in them ): gigpixx.de/prr/2010-09-18/Scanning through the pics at home I realized a bunch of Jamie shots that ended up in this funny series:

I liked the Cedo Simplex remix. Better than this Deus garbage. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. We're in total agreement. I thought I might get used to the Deus remix at some point, especially with PRR being more electronic now. But it's really just junk. Honestly. The VC remix, OTOH, is absolutely brilliant ;D

Bumping an old thread...
I've listened to the EU/US version for a very long time before getting a promo copy of the UK version earlier last year. Since that point in time, I rarely play the EU version anymore, as I think that the UK version is more "to the point" and has a better flow. And of course it has Twyncyn and Exact Colour *in* the album, not as separate tracks. To me, those two tracks are more unique than Nimos or Intention Craft, and so I miss the latter two much less in the whole of TDT. Plus, I somehow prefer the acoustic versions of these songs from the VC single, especially Nimos, so I often play that one along with the UK version.
However, the EU version is clearly best value for money.

Can't recommend listening to Fight Fire while driving. I just did. This song is like an adrenaline injection and continually makes you go beyond the speed limits...
Also noticed some crazy bass effects in Black Mourning that felt pretty good ;D and that I didn't realize at home.

At all three in fact, hehe. Man, I'm jealous and happy for you at the same time.

Anyone else humming "Down, down, dow-own" to themselves over and over again now? Cos I can't stop doing it! Yup. After 67 plays of Black Mourning and 20 each of Fight Fire and Valour within the last 24 hours I'm just trying to get the songs out of my head listening to random stuff. ;D I'm sure I'll relapse very soon...

In Cologne? How cool! Mini forum meetup I'll most probably be wearing my (hopefully still kinda unique) H&A logo shirt that night... If the shirt alone is not sufficient you can tell it's me by the fact that I won't have a beer with me ;D

Great stuff! It's on infinite repeat now While listening for the first time, I was wishing for some more audible guitars, but somehow that's gone now. The vocal part starting around 2:50 and the intermittent guitar (?) part give me goosebumps. All that is not bad for what I still consider to be the "worst" of the three preview songs

personally i think that Fight Fire is the best one of the preview, but I will decide after I hear it played live in Cologne on Tuesday:] looking forward to it! Trust me, your opinion won't change; you're going to love it!

To be honest, that holder message looks (to me) more like the domain has stopped being paid for by the band and the owner/host has put some temporary placeholder message up. Having talked to the person working with Chloƫ on the new site, I think that's not the case. My best guess is that they've just installed the framework for the new site on the server. But I have to agree the current page doesn't look very PRRish.

What...get Jim back? I doubt it To be fair, that wouldn't be the only way to do it, it'd just probably have to be a sample, which I wouldn't object to if it was to do a special performance of a song they haven't played live before. Of course, Jim also isn't the only violin player in the world, they did bring one on when he first left the band, when they played at Koko. Through the magic of twitter, I just saw this: So, it looks like they'll indeed play at least one song including "real" strings!

On the subject of photos, does anyone else think this one of Chloe looks like she's had both her arms amputated at the elbow? Just me? Looks a bit like she's trying to get out of a straitjacket...

To be honest I should have gone and said hi to you myself, but I think I was looking for someone else at the time, sorry! Next time we should arrange a meet up with whoever's interested ahead of time. Yeah, I should have done that, but I was too busy the last couple of weeks. I've got a ticket for the Scala gig and really hope to make it Btw, I hope you didn't come from Germany just for the gig - if so, massive kudos for commitment! Though it's not as impressive as the girl who came from Mexico... That was really impressive, indeed! In my case, it was actually the two PRR gigs last weekend that started this off, but a friend from Edinburgh added two gigs in Glasgow around them. Anyway, the Koko show alone, despite too short, was already well worth spending most of the weekend on the road.

I didn't see any merch stand or anything, but I did notice a dude with a shirt with the new logo on it (the weird downwards arrow saying PRR). It looked pretty cool and well-made enough that I think he hadn't done it himself unless he's very good at making T-Shirts. No idea where else he would have got it though. Gaaa, that dude was probably me Too bad we didn't meet (completely my fault, I seriously messed up at least twice: first because I only thought of trying to meet with you folks after not having internet anymore; second because I was so tired after driving down to London all day that I forgot to ask Jamie if he knew where you were...) As for the shirt (white outline & yellow PRR on a black shirt, if that's what you saw), it was self made. I only got it shortly before leaving to the UK. Call me a nerd, but I wrote the code for the print on that shirt in good old PostScript If anyone is interested, I can post a PDF/SVG/PNG as soon as I'm back in Germany. Really hope I can meet with some of you next time!
