Probably best not to believe any Album #2 release dates that get reported *today*, I reckon...

Aah, I see, wikipedia - the fount of all knowledge! Good spot, but I think we can safely place the hinted September/October release in the 'Rumours & Hearsay' category until we hear from a better source then... which is a good thing! Sadly, it's most likely that the only people who really know when Album #2 is going to be out are Jon/Chloe/Jamie/Paul, and I'm sure they'll give us a better idea whenever they're able to do so.

Where did you hear that? I can't find any mentions of a September/October release on either of PRR's official channels (Myspace and Facebook). So far, the only hint from a 'proper' source that I have heard has been the press release for the Victorious Cupid EP through ORG Records:
"PURE REASON REVOLUTION start their next period of musical evolution and the build up to their much anticipated second full album with a one off four track EP on ORG Records. The new album is due out this summer - more news from the band and their new label when they're good and ready- all sounding rather good to me..."
Not saying the band aren't going to have the new album out as late as September/October, but unless you've heard that from someone in the know then surely a guess of June/July/August (generally considered the summer months) is more likely?

Haha, now if PRR started playing with TWO drummers simultaneously, we really could call them a proper, old-skool prog rock band!

Nice one Paul, but what's it called? I can't find any groups other than the Pure Reason Revolution Revolution one that's already there: d'oh!

But I loved Vicki C as she was, without all that whimsy and cutting room floor stuff, no really, when everyone else was umming and ahhing, it was actually one I played a lot.... [flippancy mode] So don't listen to it then... [/flippancy mode] In all seriousness, it really doesn't matter what people think of the VC remix (I quite like it, for the record) - it's just the band kindly tossing us hungry folks a bone in the wait for Album #2, and isn't intended to be a major part in the PRR canon. It's a win-win situation: if you like it, then bully for you; if you don't, don't worry about it, it's a B-side and the follow up to The Dark Third is on the way... er, at some point, but you get what I'm saying... ;D

Well that's a bit more light shed - thought you'd done a nifty forum graphics update on your own steam, didn't realise that it had been officially sanctioned, so to speak. The plot thickens! ;D

Not too keen on the ORG black-and-white style on their single cover arts, but seeing as this a one-off PRR single release (as opposed to, say, a limited edition of Album #2) then it doesn't bother me any. Will be interesting to see where the band go on the artwork themes for the Album #2 material (including any singles etc) - after a space/ancient Greek theme for Cautionary Tales and The Dark Third, where do you go from there?! Wonder if the artwork will be a Chloe effort now that she seems to have a sideline doing artwork for other bands, and also the original VC single covers available at gigs last year?

Nice one. Most encouraging is the further hint that the band have secured a record deal for Album #2, this should give PRR the platform they need to get things moving forward again in 2008. Cheers Paul, see you in London in April!

Nice one, Punk Ambassador - shows how much I didn't know about the band's early days! ;D
