Haha, sorry, wasn't deliberately trying to amplify your pain! But I'm still not doing a review, because 1) I'm too lazy, and 2) jamesa will soon be putting any effort I'd make to shame anyway... ;D

Oh, and someone come up with a definitive setlist because I got lost with all the technical problems I thought it was an excellent gig in a packed venue, the band really tight, and only those technical problems occasionally getting in the way. I did see Steven Wilson lurking behind a door at the end, and I was not alone in spotting him as a group rushed off in that direction. Really good to have met a number of people off here, if only briefly - always, always nice to put a face to an online name.

Yeah, brilliant night, best on the tour. Venue was very busy, crowd reception was great, band were as on form and the only thing was that Jon's piano didn't work, kind of trashed AVO a little bit but they coped...I'm sad the UK leg of the tour is over I have to admit...but I suppose I can't really complain, bring on Copenhagen for me! I bloody love their London dates, saw loads of familiar faces and lovely to meet those of you who I did from the forum, thank-you for introducing yourselves because I'm always terrible at noticing! Also, apologies to anyone who I met after the gig, I was a bit dozy- absolutely shattered in fact, it had been a long day!!

A couple of little things I would say...I wish they would sort out those visuals! They look great when they get going and its just a shame that every time I've seen them on this tour they've either crashed or run out at some point during the set. I think they do look great I just wish they'd make them WELL over long enough so that if the set is a bit longer, they don't run out.
Secondly...why oh why couldn't they get nicely fitting girly t-shirts. :-( Sulk...

What they need is a proper VJ triggering them...! It was briefly talked about but Jamie was drunk so I didn't follow up on it.

Phew, I have finally come back home from my journey, haven't had a decent sleep since the Friday night when it started. It was nice to meet all of you guys! the only thing was that Jon's piano didn't work, kind of trashed AVO a little bit but they coped... I actually think it sounded kinda interesting. Very "alternative" version. A little change is always a good thing I wish I could afford to see more than three shows. Before the next tour I will sell all my computers and my iPhone, it should be enough to see at least the UK leg ;D Neillwith2Ls: did you catch the name of the first supporting band in Brighton? Last.fm says something about Esben and The Witch, but it's a completely different band. Anyway, I liked them, but either I am deaf or they didn't introduced themselves properly. They should definitely work on better PR.

Hey Joanna - glad you had a good London gig too, how was it compared to Brighton? Erm, I only made it inside at 8.30ish in Brighton so only caught the main support ("The Domino State", the 5-piece in black clothes - I liked them). However, it wasn't Esben & The Witch, as I was talking outide to Jamie and another punter and Jamie said that they'd had to swap some bands around as they needed to finish earlier so Jon & Chloe could get a train to London that night out of Brighton. The other guy knew E&TW, and said they weren't playing. Could always ask one of the band?

Hey Joanna - glad you had a good London gig too, how was it compared to Brighton? I think it was even better thanks to the considerably bigger crowd, which always adds some great vibe to every show. DEM was like a tornado. Swept away the audience and didn't leave anyone alive. I won't say anything more, because as a non-native English speaker I wouldn't do it as well as jamesa will

Agreed that last night was awesome! Can really see the number of people turning up for these guys is really growing!
Perfect sized venue, shame about the technical problems. Anyone know if it was the venues fault for the problems? Or the bands? Or clowns? It's just that I went to Norwich and Nottingham where the sound was excellent and the shows went really well, just thought they had managed to overcome these problems.
Also, nice to meet you Lawrie! Was completely shocked you knew who I was!

What were the technical problems at London then?
