Just seen the latest news on the PRR Myspace that Paul is doing some kind of drumming clinic in December. Now, not being a drummer, personally I'm not all that interested in that, but after reading the bulletin, I did take a peek at Paul's personal website, www.paulglover.co.uk. In the Biography section of the website, the following caught my eye: "In late June 2007 Pure Reason Revolution went to the USA to play a short tour, including an appearance at the highly acclaimed prog festival 'Nearfest'. They hope to soon be releasing a live performance DVD filmed at the festival." If that is true, then all I can say is BACK OF THE NET! I'd love to have a decent quality live DVD of PRR. Anyway, I sent an e-mail to Paul just asking how likely such a DVD was and that there would probably be decent demand for a DVD if they ever released one. I'll let you know if he replies to my e-mail. Great news, if it's true.

Poor Paul! He's been cooped up for so long with nothing to do that he has to do some clinic thing to "flex his drumming muscles"! Yeah, great news about the DVD, well spotted.

Just checked this, and the thing about the DVD has now been removed!!! As has his claim on his Myspace that he (&PRR) has recently signed to inside out!!! Porkies Paul?!! I guess we all tell a few of them on our CV's but it might confuse the rest of us!!

Or Portishead. Or The Music. But yeah, PRR are up there with the best of them. It's a huge shame, but I'm not very surprised about that...

Or My Vitriol...the absolute champions at disappointing fans and continously promising material that is never going to arrive....

My Vitriol can fuck off for this years shit.
Anyway, PRR weren't signed to InsideOut when the reissue came out. IO just put it out. As I was told, the signing would depend on the album that was produced. I think I've mentioned that depending on that they might release it on Superball instead.

Don't worry...we'll get all the info we need regarding the next album (due in January), the line-up changes, the record deal et al, in the next newsletter, because now, they're going to come 'thick and fast' according to Jamie and the manager chappie. Well...so far they'e half right .

Or are they? I don't know the details but I seem to think that was a single album deal for the European release of TDT. Surely they wouldn't describe themselves as unsigned if they were signed!

I was told by someone, band or Jonathan can't remember, that I/O were putting out TDT reissue, then depending on the album PRR produced it'd either come out in I/O or the new subsidiary Superball Music, which Oceansize new album came out on. I believe they were under the same kind of deal but can't remember.

Direct quote from Jamie's buletin: "A few of you eagle eyed internet users out there may have seen we are unsigned at the moment, just to reassure you all, we are in the middle of talks as I write this and that wont be the case for much longer. All I can say is look out for a single in the coming few months."
That was, er, a few months ago.

Plans change innit. Maybe the label don't want to put out a single. Could be millions* of things.
*note, not really millions.

Agreed, I don't think a conventional single release would do anybody any good, plus no label would back a tour of just a single by an established band like PRR. I therefore think that the next release will be an album...as Jamie (or Paul) said a couple of months ago, they already have several tracks sounding pretty good. They've had a studio for at least 3 months now, so it's my bet that the 'bum is pretty nearly complete by now. Reckon we will see it around March, which is what is generally accepted. Sit tight...it WILL be alright in the end
