I haven't stopped listening to that sampler and the YouTube videos from the live show. I even figured out the Black Morning riff on guitar! I wish they'd put the tracklisting in the source code for their website so we could mull over that a little bit.

Have you resisted the current sampler? Totally agree with the sentiment, but out of a ten track album I wouldn't mind having one of them early to tide me over. listened once. It wasn't enough for me to get a feel of it, or make me listen again...

Not positive about its authenticity, but artwork for Hammer and Anvil has appeared on Amazon UK. If there's any reason this is not allowed, by all means remove this post, but if it's on Amazon, I'd expect it to be fair game. tinyurl.com/28r547pI think it's the real deal. It's basically the same as that image on the page about ordering the advance DVD, and it has that new PRR badge thing from the Superball site. We don't have official confirmation from the band yet, but assuming it's the real art, what do you guys think?

It's on play.com as well: www.play.com/Music/CD/-/16/40/-/16324754/Hammer-Anvil/Product.html?searchtype=genre#I'm not a fan. Also: Fight Fire Black Mourning Patriarch Last Man, Last Round Valour Over The Top Never Divide Blitzkrieg Open Insurrection Armistice DVD: 1. Les Malheurs 2. Black Mourning 3. Apogee 4. Deus Ex Machina 5. Victorious Cupid 6. Fight Fire 7. Chimeras 8. AVO Kinda telling that the DVD only has Superball stuff on. Sony being a pain about licensing?

And, it's confirmed. Jamie just tweeted about it. Awesome!
Also, it's interesting to note that a track on the DVD is listed as Chimeras, which we'd heard they were probably going to rename. I think it's most likely it was renamed to Valour, which appears on the tracklisting, as I'm pretty sure a. that's a prominent word in the chorus, and b. I doubt they would have been playing it live with the other new tracks, put it on the sampler, and then not put it on the album.
Also of note is that the track is listed as Black Mourning, not morning. Interesting.
I am so pumped for this guys so pumped.

BWAAAAHR! I think that's the appropriate response in this situation. Laughed out loud at the track list, I guess if we had any doubt this was about war we can now rest easy and feel justified in being extremely weirded-out by the shift in lyrical focus/praying that Jon is not secretly a violence-obsessed psychopath.
Can I just say that Fight Fire-Black Mourning is going to be the coolest opening to an album EVER. (and though I've no idea what it sounds like, Armistice sounds like a great name for an album-finisher.)
@flyinfswordfish yes that is really weird that Chimeras has been played live but is not on the album. Your theory is probably right I imagine, but wouldn't it be great if it was just an extra track? That would mean 11 new ones instead of 10 (even if one of them was live only).
Also, as someone who has long said that AVO-and-later material is way better live than TDT, the DVD track list also makes me very happy.
And sorry ryan, but the album cover is awesome beyond belief. Can't wait for the rest of the artwork.

I personally like the album cover. I like that they've taken a different artistic approach with each album. And frankly I'm pleased beyond belief at how quickly they've gotten a new album ready. I seriously hope Over the Top is a song worthy of its title. Either that or a slow, gentle ballad. And Armistice is clearly a Phoenix cover.

Sony being a pain about licensing? Actually thinking about it, it might not be sony this time - this is essentially the set from Hoxton minus Trembling Willows, which I assume was legitimately taken out cos Jon had amp problems for that song.

is there an "official" way to preorder this, or should we just get it from the likes of play or amazon? If so, which way would be more likely to get it faster? And sorry ryan, but the album cover is awesome beyond belief. Can't wait for the rest of the artwork. Don't be. It's so clichéd and terrible though. innit. It doesn't look like am album, but part of a title sequence in a kids superehero show:/ doesn't work for me I'm 'fraid. Might grow on me if I see IRL....

Doesn't mean it's not sony - if they knew they were filming it, it may be the very reason why no TDT material was in the main pre-encore body of the set (ie so they could just film without cutting). Dunno, just saying it's possible.
Obviously this is all awesome though. It will be fun to have 3 PRR DVDs by the time this is done with it. Album cover is cool but I REALLY DON'T LIKE THE FONT FOR THE NEW LOGO. It could have been cool but the letters themselves look clunky. overbalanced, top-heavy Ps and Rs... Armistice sounds great - it'll be tough to top AVO as a closer obviously. I'm just psyched that they've given us 7 songs to look forward to without spoiling. I have very little idea what this album is going to sound like, whereas for the last I'd heard all bar 3 of the tracks at least once. The impulsive side of me would have ruined the labum experience if they'd given us more singles/previews etc...

Dunno, just saying it's possible. That makes perfect sense actually.
