...is on its way. jamiewillcox.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/back-to-the-bubble/Very good news that the band appear to still have sufficient label support to commit to making Album 3, after the financial problems that SPV has had this year. Obviously, we're still quite a way from anything tangible, but I think it's great to hear that Album 3 is very much on PRR's agenda for the coming months. Looking forward to seeing what 2010 will bring...

InsideOut and Superball have entered a partnership with Century Media which means they are okay for the moment.

Very excited that work is happening on this...I guess we spent so long waiting for AVO, the concept of something else from PRR in the not totally ridiculous future is truly amazing! Let's just hope it all goes fairly smoothly, this band have really had their share of bad luck etc, so fingers crossed they can just enjoy making this one without any more record label issues etc.

I'm excited about the prospect of weekly updates and video diaries!
So much for 'bump required in 2012'!!
Though to be fair we shouldn't count our album3 chickens yet because we all know how long things take (cough cough Jon) once they get started...
Good news that Superball seems to be just about afloat! Thanks ryan.

...is on its way. You know and I know that "on its' way" could mean "some time in the next 3 years and certainly not in the next 2". The second album was "on its' way " for nearly 3 years, the website (surely a much more appropriate place to make this announcement?) has been "on its' way" for a year. The second album was "on its' way " for nearly 3 years, the website (surely a much more appropriate place to make this announcement?) has been "on its' way" for a year. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you................... It was a turn of phrase: cool your jets. I think everyone's aware that there's no timescale on Album 3 yet and that it could, if things go wrong, end up taking more time than we'd all like it to. At the moment, however, PRR are on a label that is backing them and that looks set to continue backing them in the near future, and they don't have the one-off problems in terms of all the legal furores that happened between The Dark Third and Amor Vincit Omnia. Those facts alone should make everyone a tad more optimistic about the speed of Album 3's arrival compared to the wait we had for AVO. Of course the album will come out when it's ready and none of us know how long that will take, but unless the band's circumstances change significantly, I think that it's pretty unlikely we'll have a comparable wait for the next album to that between TDT and AVO.

yeah, I was pretty much of the belief that the next record would have a better chance to come out sooner than the gap between TDT and AVO.
Given that it sounds like they are writing already, I wouldn't think a release by 2011 would be too far of a guess. Perhaps something next year even, like a new single or an EP.

The Dark Third.
Yeah, I know.
Anyway, I am super pumped. Very eager to see which direction they take their next release. . .

I think you are making a heck of a lot of assumptions here

I think you are making a heck of a lot of assumptions here I've since been told by a member of the band that Album 3 is planned for release in the Spring of 2010, all being well, so you can rest easy on any presumptuous conclusions you think I've reached: that's as good a confirmation as you can get of a future event, short of Doc Brown giving you a ride in his DeLorean. Unless things go *very* badly wrong in a manner that nobody could reasonably foresee, Album 3 will be with us next year for sure, even allowing for the usual delays that affect any and every band (that might push a Spring release back a wee bit).

I can count on the fingers of one hand the albums I've listened to as much as AVO (relative to their release).
The prospect of a follow up so soon is very exciting. I hope they follow on from the style they've created with AVO. I'm still blown away by it on every listen, can't wait.

I can't wait for this! I wonder what they'll come up with this time.

I wouldn't mind waiting for a quality album. The last thing you would want is a rush job thet leaves the listener unfullfilled. The first two albums bear little resemblance to each other and could almost be said to be like two different bands. I wonder what the next album will throw up?

My thoughts is that it won't be like AVO. But I don't really know what to expect.... I am looking forward to the prospect of a spring 2010 release. This also means 2010 TOUR. I am so up for seeing PRR again.
