Hey All,
I thought you guys would like to be the first to know....

ORG RECORDS PRESS RELEASE:
PURE REASON REVOLUTION ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE AND ONE OFF LONDON SHOW...
PURE REASON REVOLUTION start their next period of musical evolution and the
build up to their much anticipated second full album with a one off four
track EP on ORG Records. The new album is due out this summer - more news
from the band and their new label when they're good and ready
- all sounding rather good to me...
The single - VICTORIOUS CUPID - will be out as part of the ongoing ORG-
AN-ISED SINGLES SERIES on April 14th. As always with the singles series, the
release will be CD only, limited to 1000, packages in those distinctive
black and white covers...
The band perform an intimate low-key one off show at the Water Rats in
London on Saturday 12th April - tickets have just gone on sale and I'm told
they're selling fast.
It really is all about evolution and constant re-invention with Pure Reason
Revolution
PURE REASON REVOLUTION first emerged in 2003 via Alan McGee's Poptones label
with a debut single called Apprentice of The Universe. Further well received
singles built on the buzz - although there is quite a teenage punk rock
pre-PRR history that you'll find documented in old copies of Organ (ORG
Records, as I'm sure you know, is the in-house label of long running Organ
magazine). So a handful of singles - Bright Ambassadors of Morning being a
twelve minute stand out with those ambitious vocal harmonies and those hints
of classic timeless Floyd. A mini album - Cautionary Tales Of The Brave
built on the cross fertilisation and further established the now world-wide
cult following
- Pure Reason Revolution are a band as equally loved by the alternative
indie kids as they are by the full-on post rock/progheads . The debut full
album The Dark Third came out in 2006 on the band's own Holograph imprint,
the album rightly received a wonderful reaction...
PRR aren't a band you can easily pin down, they're certainly not a band to
play things safe, if they are a prog band then they're are progressive in
the realest sense of the term - the new single is the stepping stone that
will lead you in to this new period - the bridge if you will. The lead track
is coupled with an intriguing remix version from CEDO SIMPLEX as well as two
beautiful acoustic re-workings of old favourites The Intention Craft and
Nimos & Tambos
PURE REASON REVOLUTION are: Jon Courtney (guitars/keys/vocals) Chloe Alper
(bass/keys/vocals) Jamie Willcox (guitars/keys/vocals) and Paul Glover
(drums/vocals)
We're genuinely excited to be releasing this new single here on ORG, things
like this are what we're all about...

We're all very excited about this. We had such a huge response to Victorious Cupid so it’s great to be putting it out on a physical format with a few little extras. The remix is absolutely banging!
Hopefully see some of you at Water Rats! Make sure you get your tickets quickly. We've already sold more than we expected to at this stage of the game.....
