I still can't believe it's Tom Bellamy's child, given how boring his Deus remix was. check out the first two Cooper Temple Clause albums. That was Toms bands and I can hear a fair bit of that in this. Ok, thanks! Will give them a spin.

Oh, Fight Fire and Open Insurrection are my clear favourites. The others all swap about for tunes I'm loving. Those two are outstanding though. You sir, are correct! And yes any H&A fans who haven't heard TCTC yet are in for a massive treat - definitely check it out. They were my obsession before PRR. Also mhx you make a very good point about open insurrection making armistice a better song. It really does.

Hmm, I've given this album close to 10 listens now. I can say that I don't love it - it's slowly growing on me - but I don't know if it'll reach that point. I have no idea why not, but for some reason, it just doesn't touch me in the same way that their other albums did. I have to say that the sound on this album is such a great development from AVO which didn't quite manage to mesh the synths and guitars and at times the two components seemed a little disjointed. H&A just *sounds* more colossal and I love the myriad of different influences (especially the NIN-ness of Last Man, Last Round). Those that know me can probably guess that Open Insurrection is my favourite track (the atmosphere on it is utterly fantastic). At this point, I honestly don't think that there is a weak song on this album, which makes me even more puzzled as to why I don't love it.
I think PRR are in much the same place that Oceansize are - excellent backcatalogue (Oceansize's first three albums were genuinely some of the best of the last decade and the consistency in quality is remarkable), diehard fanbase yet most people have never even heard of them. It's disgraceful that this is the case for some of the best bands in the country, but that's the way the industry is. I sincerely hope that they both can fight through it...after all, Porcupine Tree did and not *that* many people have heard of them. So it's doable, you just have to continue putting out quality albums.

So has anyone else had the problem of iTunes mislabelling the songs? All the right names are in there, just in the wrong order! How to fix, pls?

Consider me very curious. Also mhx you make a very good point about open insurrection making armistice a better song. It really does. Yeah, Armistice is like the closing titles song to an awesome movie. And I first played it out-of-order and thought it was rather weak. And talking about Open Insurrection, does anyone else think this song sounds quite Devin-Townsend-ish? This was one of my first thoughts when listening to it; the walls of sound and layers of vox can also be found in a lot of his songs.

Any particular song? Signal To Noise would definitely be in a similar league. Try Deadhead from Devin's Accelerated Evolution album, though.

Wait... how long did it take you to decide that?! I didn't think much of them when I first bought See This Through and Leave, love 'em now though.
What did you listen to anyway?

What did you listen to anyway? I listened to 'Who Needs Enemies', 'Panzer Attack', 'Did You Miss Me?' and 'Let's Kill Music'. I think that's enough to receive an impression.

Not really! Very much an album band. Listening to a handful of tracks isn't enough to form a proper opinion of a band, you need to dedicate some time to actually listening to and absorbing the music. [/rant]
