Aye, I thought it might only be in one blast.
I wasn't really being serious, I doubt it'd fit PRR, but it sounds amazing on that part.

I don't know if I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, but I gave the whole album a listen and... I'm not that keen. I don't know. I think I've been spoilt by hearing what I think is the best three tracks, before the album was released. I was expecting the rest of the album to be on the same par but whilst it's musically very good, I find the vocals boring and sub-par for PRR. The only saving grace bar the aforementioned 3 tracks for me, is Blitzkrieg. This is just upon first listen though, and I'm going to give it a through listening to when I've got a week off work next week, but at the minute I'm not bowled over. Please don't throw stones at me.

OMG!
I think the US release has a different track order. As per amazon.com:
1. Blitzkrieg 2. Black Mourning 3. Never Divide 4. Last Man, Last Round 5. Patriarch 6. Valour 7. Fight Fire 8. Over The Top 9. Open Insurrection 10. Armistice
For whatever stupid reason, they managed to completely tear apart the Blitzkrieg/OI/Armistice trilogy.
That tracklist has been confirmed by a friend in the US, btw, so it's not just Amazon...

Actually I don't think it would be that bad. Blitzkreig could definitely work as an opener, and it's continuity with open insurrection would help hold the album together more, much like the continuity between bright ambassadors and he tried to show them magic, or deus and avo, both of which are far apart on the album. The reordering of the middle tracks does seem entirely random though. I'll reorder it on my itunes and give it a listen to see what I think.

I don't know who gets to make such stupid completely unnecessary decisions.

The thing that confuses me most is the fact it makes the idea of the album as a whole unimportant...the way I see it, surely the band chooses to put songs in the best order and the best order doesn't vary depending on whether you're from the US or Europe.
Unless whoever is releasing it in the U.S. made the call? I'm not sure, too many unknowns to say. It just seems a very weird.

Is that why people were getting tagging issues with iTunes?

On the other hand you might have two orders you think are really good and you can't decide between them - in which case releasing two versions could provide fans with more ways to view the album and what it's trying to say. Or --> Is that why people were getting tagging issues with iTunes? Maybe the US amazon has it totally wrong and has just got their track list off the incorrect itunes.

I just came here to post that TDF... I guess the best way to find out is to ask them on twitter/fb/myspace or ask superball...

Or --> Mmmh. Like the two (three ) releases of TDT? Does anyone know the reason behind these two different versions? Is that why people were getting tagging issues with iTunes? Maybe the US amazon has it totally wrong and has just got their track list off the incorrect itunes. I don't think that's the case as someone with a physical copy in the US brought this all up today.

Mmmh. Like the two (three ) releases of TDT? Does anyone know the reason behind these two different versions? US version was the original track listing. Sony wanted an EP/mini-album first. PRR recorded a couple of extra tracks so the album had some different tunes to Cautionary. Cautionary never released in US so original tracklisting used. Europe re-release collects everything together.
