Right, so the band were lying then.
He's not a super crook, he's a pathetic and deranged lunatic.

In which case, we are wasting our time and breath talking about him because it is exactly what he wants. End of, as far as I'm concerned.
Nobody in the world is going to take that review seriously, it's poor writing, factually wrong and generally rubbish and any moron can see that. So yeah, it's not worth getting our knickers in a twist over really.

Re DIS reviews, this is in a similar vein of vitriol as Septic Clit's writings. Do we think they are the same person?

haha, we've all spouted stuff we've been told by the band/jonathon at various times on here. it's hardly fair to just use that point 'cos you two are arguing!
anywoo, it's a review. it highlights that these things are all down to opinion. aye, sometimes dis is shite, but sometimes it's actually alright, and to stick my oar in, i don't think they'd publish a review by someone who'd not been there. Therefore, eithier he paid or someone put him on the list. i don't agree with the people (person...? can't remember) who said it was the bands best set ever but hey ho.

Actually I think anyone can post reviews on DIS...you don't need to prove you've been there. In fact there's a "post your own review" link immediately below. It is possible he was there, but I just think it's far more his style to sit at home and attack it from the safety of his computer. Aaaargh! I'm talking about him again! OK. I promise I shall not make another post in this discussion. Anybody got any ideas for another thread?

Re DIS reviews, this is in a similar vein of vitriol as Septic Clit's writings. Do we think they are the same person? 'O Great One?' Look, all I was saying is that I think this kinda talk gets a bit silly (the who it may or may not be that wrote that review conversation) and there really isn't much point, we've rehashed it so many times now. Stepping away from that and looking at the review, I just think it just lends itself to suspicions about motives, regardless of any history people have decided to link to it. Either the writer is REALLY going out of their way to slate them, or they just happen to know all the song names etc...Borgens Vor isn't even on the UK version of the album, thus suggesting it would have to be someone who is at least somewhat of an appreciator. The review is written in a completely personal attacking tone, with, as others have said, things that aren't even true like the rhyming of Machina. I'm not totally jaded, I know PRR are not everyones cup of tea and everyone is entitled to their opinion, including those who wish to give a bad review of the gig. But to have this much of a problem with the band yet go on in the detail and way that this guy does? I dont know, seems more than a little fishy in my eyes. But then again, DIS annoy me in general anyway....loads of people who write on there just seem way too keen to hate people/bands rather than ignoring the things that they hate and focussing on what they DO think is good.

I'm sorry, I forgot to put a after 'O great One'. DIS has a history of slagging off PRR...If you remember the last review, the reviewer actually admitted he hadn't watched the set. So, there's a lot of it around. Maybe DIS is pissed off that PRR have signed with ORG?. Conversely, going back to TDF's rant about 'you know who', I can't believe that the band and Jonathan would be so inept (or stupid) as to confide such details to a relative stranger. If that was indeed the case (which I don't believe), then there is great potential for damage by doing so, especially when you are running a business, which I assume PRR is. The things TDF has written down are just so full of holes that they're libellous, and like nekroman says, is the reason that the band never made an 'announcement'.

I guess that's the PRR 'bad fairy'?
This whole thing kind of reminds me of the lyrics to a song by Fear Factory:
Nothing you say matters to us Nothing you say matters to us Fuck you
Spread your word this point of you And connect the machine Goddamned words, ocean of lies Taunting you to decieve
Nothing you say matters to us Nothing you say matters to us You are a virus spreading disease Your life is so sad spreading lies of hate Nothing you say matters to us Nothing you say matters to us Fuck you
So you'll seize up in your lies you Tell up at the site Sees you, signals and hate me to stand Me with your lies
You are a virus spreading disease Your life is so sad spreading lies of hate
Reap what you sow Your words are shit
You are a virus spreading disease Your life is so sad spreading lies of hate
Awesome that you know my thoughts (All I want to do is see) Made back screen with your disease (Tapping only on the keys) Change your face in front of me (Safe behind the cyberscreen) Wishing that you knew the truth (All I know is what I read)
Nothing you say matters to us

Thats the other thing I forgot to mention in the rant above that kinda negates the idea that it could just be someone who didn't enjoy the show...the fact that the user has only written that one review and seems to have no other activity on DiS before that.

Fair enough, I'm not going to bicker. But if I read a review like that of a band I'd never heard of, I have to say I'd personally think 'what a load of crap, it's worse than the NME level of writing' and pretty much ignore the content of the review. Thats all I meant really.
