Rain outside, jazz inside. Yoga in a minute, tea for now. Lightning struck so close, a car alarm went off. I'm perfectly in love with this morning. It's like a Tom Waits song.
Listening to: "Alone" the album by Bill Evans.

While researching Sumerian economics and writing an outline to some epic poetry, I'm listening to all of the Thrice cds I went out and bought on an impulse today.
Yes, that's Thrice. I always thought they were generic MTV-pop crap music. But it turns out I was dead wrong and they're quite good.

Dead wrong you were. The newest couple, The Alchemy Index, are amazing.

I Spy by Pulp from Different Class. Fucking genius song, my joint favourite Pulp track (along with This Is Hardcore), and my favourite lyrics of any song, anywhere, by any band. *does a Wayne's World-style "we're not worthy!" worship*

There's this thing on the web called Pandora Radio: www.pandora.com/ :it's truly consumed me. I love it, I may never have to download another album again! Ha. So now I'm listening to this band, "A Hush Sound". But that will change in just a moment. I started out with searching for, "The Dresden Dolls" - which has always been a band I am only occasionally interested in, never enough to spend much time with. But this website came up with a bunch of suggestions of other artists which are totally working for me. Totally revolutionary thing here. It really made my day.

Right now, LOTS of PRR ... I always "come back" to my favorite bands at some point. Also a bit trying to get into Pain of Salvation and Pineapple Thief ...

I have no idea what emo is, nor do I want to! Alchemy Index is amazing. I love the fact they've gone the more atmospheric way of bvands like ISIS and pelican. what I'm currently listening to... Hot Water Music John Mayer Pink Floyd Last Shadow Puppets

On my quest to finding new music on last.fm, I found that awesome fully-streamable album On High by the band Soundpool Sounds pretty spacy, kinda like PRR without the catchy elements ...
Also bought the album Beartrap Island by the band Division Day off iTunes yesterday, it's pretty awesome.
And also rediscovering Biffy Clyro.
