Just never particularly fancied trying it to be honest, and friends/family are all non-smokers so the temptation to try it whilst growing up never came round either. Anyway, it's probably for the best I don't, cos if I added cigarettes to my already terribly unhealthy lifestyle, I doubt I'd see 30!

so we know that everyone likes a tipple, but does anybody smoke? Nope, not generally, though I have been known to in my more drunk/stressful times but I've made a decision to put a stop to that, I didn't at all when I was at home over Christmas around family and non-smokers so there's really no need for it.

Yes we seem to be a fairly nicotine-free lot....unlike the members of the band who go at it like chimneys, or so it normally seems to me. It must help their beautiful voices.

Nah, not a smoker, never have been.
As for fitness, I'm fit enough to walk to uni and back (couple of miles) no worries, and further I expect. I just can't be arsed!

Nah. I would say, "filthy habit", but what I'd really be meaning is, "filthily expensive habit"... Happy to say I've never smoked a single fag [tobacco or otherwise] in my entire life. I don't just have a moral objection to smoking - I'm an asthmatic, so it would be completely insane for me to smoke - and I never have, never will.

I don't really have a moral objection to it, but made a stupid blunder regarding it once.
My Fiancee's (then just girlfriend's) Dad walked back with me from her's to mine one night to walk the dog. And also a bit to suss me out I think (which is quite out of character, and odd because I'd been with her a while and round their's a lot). Anyway, in the course of the half hearted 'questioning' he asked if I smoked. Instantly my reply was "no, i i think it's a pretty grim habit" (or words to that affect). No sooner had I said that did I remember, he's a smoker. Doh!
He thought it was quite funny thankfully!

I have a very occasional cigar or bum a rollup off someone, but as for wanting to make a habit of it? No chance

Nope, not me; never have. My father died of lung cancer in 07; almost certainly caused by smoking so I'm even less tolerant than I was before .... which wasn't very.

I don't. I get tonsilitis fairly regularly as it is and I think smoking would probably exacerbate it - I once went to a gig in Shoreditch where everyone was smoking and I could hardly breathe. Needless to say I was very ill the next day (bearing in mind it was during summer) with tonsilitis. So any desire I may have had to start has been quashed by that.

i expect it was just being in shoreditch made you ill. yuk. There was a plethora of tight, garishly coloured trousers around so that may have been it. I felt so ridiculously untrendy when I went, but in the end I had the last laugh because I was the only one there not dressed like a complete twat.
