So... we're a very spikey anti-social lot sometimes on here (I'M JOKING! ) and I thought it might be nice to get to know each other. Also get back some of the community we had on the old board. So, chairs in a circle everyone, I'd like to go round and get everyone to say a little something about themselves. I'll go first I'm Ryan. I'm 20. I live in London, where I go to London Metropolitan University studying Film. I come from somewhere near Brighton before that and I love Brighton a lot. On the official board I think I might have been known as 'GoffBoy' but I can't be sure. I'm part of three man crew MenWithTheMovieCamera who do music related video work, mostly filming live performances on multiple cameras and then editing it together. We've worked with Oceansize twice now, and frequently make this face because of it: I've also filmed such rock greats as 65daysofstatic, fox cubs (you'll hear of them soon ) and some band called Pure Reason Revolution (you may have seen the footage on youtube in a video called /loud) I'm also part of the Albino Films, the video arm of Albino Records, where I do anything technical (ie, cameras, lights, editing, etc.). We have currently completed three projects, a music promo for scottish singer songwriter Kat Flint, a DVD of REVEREs acclaimed Skin video (co-production with mwtmc) and a video for London based artist Gabby Young (and Other Animals). We'll be launching the last one tomorrow. I work with London band REVERE a lot, doing stuff with both mwtmc (live videos) and albino (projections at gigs). I think they are my favourite band in the world (excluding Cardiacs because that's just not fair on other bands), and seeing them live gives me goosebumps. I love music as much as film. I like lots of bands and artists and stuff. I have far to much free time. I fucking love cats. I copy/pasted this from similar intros on other boards which is why it's so long, but hopefully we've all learnt something. Your turn

I'm Roisin...(this does feel a little like an AA meeting but there we go...) I'm 19 and I live in Leeds, at Leeds University doing English, which I don't especially enjoy anymore but I'm over halfway there so what the hell, I'll carry on, if only for the piece of paper at the end and the enjoyment of student life. I'm originally from the hub of life that is Milton Keynes and I have little desire to go back there...ever. I spend most of my time either studying, working as a venue assistant at the student union or being involved in the backstage society, playing with lights mostly. Oh, and listening to music/being at gigs, of course. I aspire towards working in the music industry, possibly as a venue or production manager eventually, so spend way too much time seeking experience in anything to do with music events. I attempt to play bass and guitar. I also sing and play several woodwind instruments but as I get older the chances of me ever playing outside of my bedroom are slim. I can be quite obsessive about things I like, which would explain why I've seen PRR live 18 times over the past couple of years! I'm also pretty sarcastic and generally quite cynical...
Hmmm...I think that about sums me up as much as you can in a few lines!

Haha, love the AA analogies: brilliant! I'll try and keep mine short. Called Lawrie - cheers mum and dad(!) Aged 26. Live near Luton in Bedfordshire. Got a degree in chemistry. That's of no use to me these days, I'm an accountant: par-tay(!) Lifelong fan of Tottenham Hotspur. First saw PRR supporting Hope Of The States and been an utter fanboy ever since then. Almost a carbon copy of Peep Show's Mark Corrigan in appearance, thought and manner. Strives to be more like South Park's Eric Cartman. That is all.

Haha, love the AA analogies: brilliant! I'll try and keep mine short. I'd just written it on that way on another board out of mostly being to lazy to string a proper sentence together (bloody students etc.). I actually envisioned one of those awful Uni/Training Course type icebreaker things with my intro... though i changed the first line to "I'm Ryan and I've been off the boo... opps not that kind of intro" until I realised that made me sound like I actually was an alcoholic and took it out. Almost a carbon copy of Peep Show's Mark Corrigan in appearance, thought and manner. Strives to be more like South Park's Eric Cartman. Volia, thread was worth it! That is a beautiful sentence and you are a wonderful person!

Mmm...I feel like I should say "hey guys" before starting...screw it: I'm male, 18 and called Nippy (don't ask) I am almost free of school, after which I will be taking a well-deserved year off, then I shall be universitying somewhere. I live near Bournemouth, which is alright, though rather uninspiring. I too am obsessive about things I like (which I think is why I feel such a strong link with PRR's lyrics) My life has been constantly marred by the fact that none of my friends are interested in the same things I am, at least as far as music goes. I dream of musical success, even though when I take a moment to be realistic I'm fairly sure I will never achieve it. If you want to know anything else about my interests/appearance visit my myspace (hazard warning: I am not called Mrs. Conclusion, and I do not look exactly like Chloe Alper) See ya guys, TDF (PS: this page will actually be pretty usefull for meeting you guys at gigs ....possibly)

All my friends are cool and into ace things, we've all kinda grown into a certain musical taste together and just recently started off down other paths as well so we're all sharing. Love my mates

I was thinking that (as a 26 year old) when I saw the other replies in this thread of 19,20,21 etc, so I'm sure someone will trump you too: sweepstake on the first octogenarian PRR fan anyone? ;D

Greetings all!Oh dear! I'm Rich. 37 years-old and feel incredibly old at this precise moment in time. And: I was thinking that (as a 26 year old) when I saw the other replies in this thread of 19,20,21 etc, so I'm sure someone will trump you too: sweepstake on the first octogenarian PRR fan anyone? ;D [glow=red,2,300]Well, well, well... Here goes the winning, trumping, oldtimer, then:[/glow] I'm called PerPer. I'm Swedish, male, 43 years old. ;D Yes, very very old... Father and almost grandfather - theoretically - to some of you toddlers here! And my fiancée is two years my senior!!! That's old! I've done a tour at the university of Stockholm (Cinema Theory), and the university college of Södertörn (Media and Communication). To no greater avail at all - except for my own pleasure, that is! But I still manage to enjoy PRR, and that is all that counts here, right!?! My interests are, roughly speaking (writing?), our doggies [three Pharaohounds, one Basenji], movies [ BladeRunner is a fave, as is Rutger Hauer], music [obviously PRR, but also Van der Graaf Generator, PT, Swedish band Anekdoten and some other stuff] and reading a great variety of "stuff" (including those thingys with drawings in them, comics). And stumbling upon odd things on the Internet, I guess. ;D

Oh, and by the way perperov, not sure if you follow football, but if you do I'd like to say that despite Sweden sullying their good name by exporting Freddie Ljungberg to the Premiership, I am in the debt of your nation for fathering and nuturing Erik Edman's left foot, which scored the best goal I have ever seen for Tottenham Hotspur (against Liverpool, in a 2-2 draw): thanks a lot!
