well, the release date hasn't been put back, but, if you don't see it by september, you'll see it in January. January it is then! Back to the live album, as long as the band are fine with it - which apparently they are - then that's good enough for me. Wouldn't want to do a Best Of Radiohead on them and buy something that they're not happy with being released... although that said I am going to buy the DVD version of the Best Of Radiohead whether it sends Thom off in a strop or not: if there was some other way to own the post-OK Computer videos then I'd do that, but you've left me with no choice but to give my cash to EMI on that one, oh ginger dwarf god...

I'm very excited about this! It'll be nice to get a high quality recording of the band live.
Speaking of the Wikipedia page on the band, it mentions some XFM and Radio 2 recordings. Does anybody know anything about/have these?

as for the nearfest thing. the band basically have signed their performance rights away, so Nearfest can basically do whatever they want with it. The band know it's being released though, and they're ok with it. either way, it's another one for the collection!! Yep, definately, as long as all are happy with it then looking forward to hearing it, it's a nice long set anyway!!

Hi everyone, This is Chad from NEARfest (and NEARfest Records). I just wanted to introduce myself as there is some chatter here about the new legitamate PRR live album! Yes, it was me on Wikipedia updating the PRR page with information on this release. I wasn't logged in for some of the edits, so they came up as just an IP address. Sorry 'bout that! But, I'm here to tell you that the live album was tracked and mastered yesterday and going to the duplicator tomorrow along with the artwork. Some of you may have seen the cover already on the PRR MySpace page and/or Wiki page, but you can also go to www.nearfestrecords.com/releases.asp?ID=18The album will be released on June 20th at NEARfest X (Zoellner Arts Center, Bethlehem, PA) and then made available online via our website and to select online retailers the following week. This will be a limited run of 1000 copies, so it is a very exclusive release! For those thinking that NEARfest has all rights to the recordings, that's not true. We very respectful of the bands we promote and do nothing with live recordings without a licensing agreement with the bands. PRR fully signed off on this album and had it mixed by their own engineer, so it is 100% legit and we are all very excited about it. The band and their manager were an absolute pleasure to work with at NEARfest 2007. I am very glad to be furthering our relationship with them. Thanks for all the interest in the live album. If you have any questions about it, please do not hesitate to drop a reply.

Absolutely. I even tried to get some custom artwork out of Chloe, but she's been a little too busy. I previewed the master this afternoon and it sounds great. Very full, live sound. The artwork and master left for the duplicator this evening, so we're on schedule!

Hey chutch, thanks for the info about the live album, good stuff. Just a small question about the recording of Deus Ex Machina that will feature on the album. On the version that PRR have put up on their Myspace player, the "fuck" from "she didn't wanna know, she never fucking does" line has been scratched up (for want of a better phrase!) and effectively censored out: does that censorship also feature on the final press of the live album (hopefully not!)? I'm hoping that it's just on the Myspace player version of the track (to keep their site family friendly or whatever other reason) - don't suppose you could enlighten us, please?

I just checked and the F-bomb has apparently been omitted from the final mix as well. I can't speak to the reason as it was wholly band decision. Sorry!

Nice one, thanks for the answer. ;D Hmmm, that's a weird one, as there was no similar censoring on other versions of the track that we've heard from 'official' sources to date - the demo studio versions on both the PRR and the Superball Myspace players both featured the uncensored line: strange... Maybe Jon's mum hasn't heard the demos of Deus yet and he knows she'll be getting the live album or summat...

Might be Nearfest policy....doesn't detract hugely to be honest,

NEARfest had *nothing* to do with the edit/censor. As I said just above, it was wholly a band decision.

Sounds worse with the scratched-out bit in there though, like you were playing a CD and the laser slipped or summat!

To be honest I didn't even notice it the first time I listened. And it's not like PRR's songs are full of profanities that have to be censored every three seconds...
