If Deus is the first single, then Victorious Cupid won't be on the album But that's only a theory... Why? Don't get your logic one bit there. In any case, it's a moot point as both Deus and Cupid will be definitely on the next album. Don't have a confirmed source for that, but that's the way things are/will be anyway.

because cupid has already been a single. so it would have been the first off the album.

because cupid has already been a single. so it would have been the first off the album. Ah, I see! I was undone by clever semantics! Anyway, the ORG release notwithstanding, Deus might end up being the first 'proper' single released for AVO (if any singles are released at all), but whether it is or it isn't both it and VC will be on Amor. But yes, I was wrong, consider my humble pie well and truly eaten... ;D

It's been one twice really. But yeah, I expect it'll be there none the less.
And I'd bet money that Deus is released to radio, and possibly has a video done, but there's no physical single.

possibily all total speculation based on the handling of the last Oceansize album.

Too late! My hope's kindled!
If I remember right, Oceansize had the 'unfamiliar' video before the album, but the released it as a proper single afterwards. Or was it commemorative?

Neither.
The video was released just before the album (because it was filmed so close to release) but the song had been on radio before that. There was never a proper single.

I would definitely like to see a music video. Hopefully Superball gives them the support they deserve! Reminds me of when Dream Theater joined Roadrunner.
As a side note, am I the only one who thinks these "Scratch proof your Samsung Omnia" ads at the top of the page are kind of funny? ;D

Depends if there's scope for a decent video really. There's no point in doing one just for the sake of it. The Oceansize one was just born out of the DVD shoot.

I am SURE there's scope for a decent video, especially if it's Deus. Whether they'll actually come up with a decent video is a totally different matter....The original Intention Craft one is fantastic, but the Ambassadors one and Hicks's one weren't anything to shout about in my opinion.

The Intention Craft blue screened performance thing? That were crap!

The Intention Craft blue screened performance thing? That were crap! Family Fortunes-style "uh-uuuuugh!" for that response, young man. The Intention Craft was a fine video. Not groundbreaking, but definitely good. Always go with a decent performance video over some director's arty concept for music vids, says I. Unless the director can pull a Black Dollar Bills/Rabbit In Your Headlights work of genius out of the bag... but those type of gems are so rare it's best to play safe. The video for TIC was miles and miles better than the one for TBAOM. Thus proclaimed Lawrie The Truthspeaker...

You says wrong. Performance videos are so pointless. It's a massively expensive waste of time.
BAOM didn't work because it was just a visual really, not a proper video.

*Generalisation alert!*
Some performance videos can be superb, other can be boring, pointless and whatever other adjective you'd care to describe them as. Just depends how good it is. I really like the Int Craft video, the kalaediscope thing works really well and I think it's trippy enough to make it feel more like an experience video than a performance video.
