Came back a couple of hours later and mine's done: niiiiiice! (@ isador: I'm seeding, and there are 9 others seeding in my swarm per my client - maybe you need to fiddle with some settings on your torrent client?) Got to say, it's just beyond awesome to see a professionally recorded piece of live PRR footage. I really don't like videos (of which there are several on Youtube) of the studio version of a given PRR song being played over live video of them playing the track; that just does nothing for me at all. So this video completely eclipses my former favourites of Jamie's footage of them playing at V in 2006 (I think?): absolutely top drawer. My 2 observations/notes/questions: 1) BA is so, SO right that the director was a bit of a berk doing the closeup of Jon asking for his mic to be brought up. Slightly detracts from an otherwise flawless shoot. 2) In Gloaming, is Jamie using an e-bow on his guitar about halfway through? I'm a complete music/tecchy novice, and I'm just interested to know if that thing he holds over the strings was an e-bow (my only knowledge of which comes from the R.E.M. song E-Bow The Letter on New Adventures In Hi-Fi!). Any gear wizards out there like to put me straight? Really, really hoping the whole show finds its way on to a torrent site once it goes out next year, that was as tantalising a taster of a video as I've ever seen! ;D

I've not watched it, but it was possibly edited on the fly, so the director has make those choices as to what to cut to without knowing what's about to happen. It not really worth going back for something like this, i expect they have so much to go through.

Ah, then that's a fair call if that was the case, Ryan, and that certainly seems a very plausible explanation. I was nitpicking anyway, it's a VERY welcome bit of professional footage for the band. Certainly worth keeping hold of when you get round to watching it.

I'm just watching it now, that's almost certainly the case. The bit at the start gives it away, when the camera is focused on the dust on the lens and not Paul it cuts away really quickly, then back when it's sorted. The director/editor is obviously reacting to the vocals kicking in, but is just too late so it looks like they are cutting to see the request. The hand on hip thing Jon did just afterwards made me laugh. Seeing as it's probably customary for me to moan about this stuff, the camera people should have been picking something, focusing on it, and sticking with it. That or they are getting really unclear direction. They barely hold on anything. Leave the frigging zoom alone!!! Also, what's with the incessant shots of the lights?! I wonder will change for the full broadcast... Not fussed on the footage, but I suppose it's clear that I'm pretty picky about that kind of thing, it's my gripe rather than any actual issue.
Choles vocals could do with coming down in the mix, but chances are most of that was edited live as well and she's in the center so makes sense it'd be like that. I also don't think she sounds that good, & was she playing bass... looked a bit suspect to me. Oh well. Miserable bugger aren't I! I don't think this recording does the live sound of the tune justice, but it's certainly welcome to have a decent version none the less.
And yeah, that's an e-bow.

The hand on hip thing Jon did just afterwards made me laugh. Glad I'm not the only one. ;D I am not happy that due to bloody Tiscali's rules on downloading I had to wait until 11pm to get this, and then have the same client issues as isador21 (to echoe what he said though, changing client does fix this- say no to BitComet) however it was worth the wait! Really I can only echo what everyone else has said so far- lovely to own some high quality footage of them. Roll on the full show.

Stuck at 95.9% Who left Seedville? Seriously, please seed or whatever... Also, why do people hate BitComet? Is it a Radiohead-type of hate "let's gang up on X popular thing" or is it based on some annoying feature that it has? Just wondering... I've been using BitComet since I first started to torrent everything, like 5 years ago... Was I wrong?

My crappy laptop speakers gave me a bad impression of this recording when I first listened to it, but now I'm got some nice headphones on and it's pretty lush.
As we're griping, I have one that's not related to the recording. I don't like it when there are long sections of obvious backing track, particularly vocals. Like at the end of Gloaming - I know it's all fragmented and has loads of reverb, so couldn't be done live, but it doesn't look right. In my opinion it shouldn't be included in the live version.

Use uTorrent, not BitComet, it's far better.

I use Azureus Vuze to torrent - no problems. I would also say to everyone, please register with Dime (if you can) - PRR recordings have been upped there in the past, the more people obviously makes the d/l faster for everyone. Especially with the full dvd likely to appear in Feb - that'll be 2-3 gig to download.......

isador21- I was using BitComet to get the PRR @ Bonn download and was getting no seeders. I switched to Vuze and it came down perfectly.
It was probably me that left you hanging at 95.9 :x Sorry!

How do you register with Dime, so i can download these 2 videos? I want to hear Gloaming. Hi badger746, welcome to the forums! To sign up at Dimeadozen, go to Account --> Sign Up via their home page. They have a maximum number of users (about 100,000) that they allow to be registered at any one time, and their quota is often full. However, they regularly delete inactive accounts, so keep refreshing the page and eventually it will let you sign up. It took me a couple of hours of semi-frequent refreshes before I got a chance to sign up: stick at it and you'll get there in the end!
