Is there any free way to rip the audio off that .vob file? I'd gladly replace the Water Rats bootleg of Gloaming on my ipod with this one

I've got as far as stream output -> output (file) -> MP3 in VLC, but I have no idea what I'm doing or whether it will work. Screw it, I'm hitting 'save'!

Have any other bits of this DVD gotten out yet? Not that I know about - I think we're waiting for the full broadcast on Feb 9th at earliest, I'd imagine.

As we now know this is going to form part of the officially released special edition of Amor Vincit Omnia, I do need to remind everyone of the forum rules.
While in this case, we are happy for you to discuss the broadcast, as it has been openly broadcast on German TV, the admin team do not feel that allowing the link on this page would be consistant to the forum rules, therefore the link to the download will not be available here and any posts containing that link will be deleted.
I'm aware this is a bit of a fine line, as only some of it will be on the DVD etc, which is why, as I say, discussion is fine, but just not the direct link itself.

I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know it's going to be a part of an official release. I must have missed this. I feel silly

I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know it's going to be a part of an official release. I must have missed this. I feel silly I don't think you should (have to) feel silly. I doubt anybody apart from admin knew about this until .... well ..... until it was posted yesterday. Actually, it should have been banned from DIME then as it violates their no one rule. But as 60+ people have downloaded it already, it's futile now anyway. Weird thing, this.

Oh no, nobody should feel silly about it. It's mentioned in the AVO thread that it will be on the special edition and on the play.com tracklisting but I don't except everyone to know that, just my job to let you know. As for what DIME do with things, without sounding selfish thats not my job but keeping this forum above board certainly is

I've just skimmed through it. Same issue with the sound as before really, Chloe is too loud (and sadly doesn't sound totally on form I reckon...), the guitars could do with being a little more upfront in the mix maybe. Not awful though, not as good as nearfest but certainly nice enough.. Not watched enough of the direction/camera work/editing, doubtless it'll annoy me though edit; this might be a new edit actually. i've not done a side-by-side but it looks a hell of a lot neater. i'll watch the whole thing tomorrow. Shame they didn't remix the audio, or even get the band to do it, but i suppose they are busy now. This is all on a very quick skim through though really, just seeing if I could spot differences and stuff. the interview's nice considering how brief it is. The stuff about artwork influence is cool. And where did they use 60 vocal tracks?! I can't think of anything that sounds quite that layered!

After watching this, I can say that Les Malheurs and Apogee are both completely awesome. Wow, I can't wait for the album! It will be nice to hear Jon's synth at the proper volume, which was my main quality criticism of this broadcast. I also can't wait to read the lyrics for Les Malheurs - some crazy stuff in there!
