there's a difference between 'mime' and backing track though. there was a point when there was a fair amount of stuff (bass mostly) being mimed along too. I don't think it happens a lot (at all?) now though.

the band are now not using backing at all.
the only reason they were used was to fill the void of strings/violin/bass that Jim played.

what about the glitchy vocals on the end of the gloaming and stuff? jon isn't sampling then stuttering that live now it he? i assume they are still using something, even in as much as triggering samples mid-song.

The main synth riff (the 3 chords from the beginning) in The Gloaming is a backing track and no member mimes it... They managed to add some playable keyboard extras around it since the bootlegged version, which makes it more textured and awesome They use arpeggiators alot... (how many Gs, how many Ps? )

lol. i dont see wots wrong w backing tracks as long as SOMETHING happens live. i worry that chloe doesnt sing enough, or jamie on AVO so may effect live show wiv lack of guitar 2. Still gettin used to AVO ... will Have better listen in Nottingham soon tho
