That said, I'm going to try and restrain myself more with album 3. By the time AVO was released, I'd heard pretty much every track in some form. Has to be said though, it was on the short side for a full album release, I'd love album 3 to be a few tracks longer. Agreed with all of that!

A few of the tracks on AVO seemed to meander a bit. Gloaming didn't need to be 9 minutes long, it doesn't actually do that much.

Sorry to be a twitter stalker (you guys are too, don't deny it!!) but this was really cool from Jamie: He wrote
"I'm off for a vibe off with the label..." and later "The meeting went really well...so excited about what's to come."
Label problems sorted? Awesome.

Right, have allowed myself but one listen as I'm in the middle of furious essay writing but have to say that of 1st impressions I'm not quite sold on the first two samples but the 1 min clip of the 3rd sample was so good. I'm intruiged to see what that's like as a whole song. To be fair, I don't think we can trust sample as really selling us for a song. I found the gloaming sample dull but the song as a whole is incredible.

Or maybe there are 4 samples. Whatever, the last one was sweet.

I agree! I thought the first 2(3?!) samples were terrible! the 'fight fire with fire' one was particularly bad.
quite liked the last snippet I heard though, although it did sound like a mash-up of deus and intention craft. really hope the rest of the album is an improvement, would be a shame if this is a representation of the whole record!

Sp, first listen: Yeah I'm not sold on the Fight Fire one either, I've gotta say, in fact I might go as far as to say it's the first thing PRR have done that I don't like. It sounds out of time...I'm sure thats a desired effect but it sounds wrong to me!
Having said that, I really like the rest, a lot...especially the last one, I'm in love with that track already, can't wait to hear the rest of it! It's very Depeche Mode.
Got the news it was out while I was in the hairdressers, been out all afternoon- torturous waiting!
