Yeah that's the one Lawie. You're right, they did do a double set there once, that was a different gig.
The Boxer Rebellion were pretty crap that night, but they had rubbish sound. Both their albums are really really good.

Have to disagree about TBR at that gig; I really enjoyed their set and as a result ordered their album "Exits" from Amazon.

Fair enough. I wasn't digging it, far too much reverb on the vocals.
I've got both their albums though, really enjoy them. Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have to admit I don't remember in detail (it's times like this it's a shame the forum moved, I'm sure some of us rambled about it on the old Sony boards...) but I vaguely remember quite enjoying them... Their new album had a little burst of wierd success when it was released which obviously hasn't lasted all that well as they've been playing basically the same tour as PRR (If slightly longer) over the last couple of weeks. But I think this was a really smart booking in terms of crossover, nice to see and I'm looking forward to giving them a second go to see what I think.

BR are playing these little dates to fund a tour in the US and OZ I think. Littler dates = easier to make more money.

The past two times I've seen PRR I've stood at the front near Jon, so chances are I'll probably be there again. Singing really, really obnoxiously loud and off key. As for appearence, uh, I don't have that many photos where I'm not drunk off my face, but this photo is probably an accurate representation of how I will look if I drink beforehand... Honestly, I have no idea why I'm single. I've changed my hair though, so it will look like something like this in cambridge: c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/78/l_aff9af3d3e834843aa39e1d9492d44bc.pngSo... yeah. Say hi!

I'll try to make it, but I may be veeerry tired on Mayday. Not to mention the fact that both coach and train take over 2 hours to go from the 'Ford to the 'Bridge.
Maybe we should have an Ambassadors mugshot thread...

Ah it's happened before, it wasn't pretty then, it won't be pretty now. But yeah I'm fairly sure I'll be at la Scala....I'll be within walking distance of the venue at any rate. I'm on a 16 hour flight the next morning so I want to be nice and hung over....I don't think.

I've got a gig the night of the scala show BUT can anyone going to one of these dates pick up the boxer rebellion album (union) for me? I can pay you the money + postage + enough to cover fees via paypal. Thing is, you've gotta pre-order from their site (theboxerrebellion.com, then click store) and then collect at the gig, which is why I can't myself. I'm happy to paypal you the money before you make the order if that's better for you... It'd be much appreciated if anyone can help me out
