ah, drag, man. woulda been good to see you there. I'll see if I can pick the record up for you mate. I know, lame. I went to put it in my calender and remembered. It's a big gig for us, and falls on the same night as a few other good ones, hopefully won't affect our crowd!! I will get to a PRR gig at some point this year!!! It'd much appreciated man, let me know how to get you money. And cheers max, the offer's much appreciated too.

Anyone else holding up the northern fort in Sheffield next Saturday?

Distance rules me out for Sheffield. It's on a magic Saturday, but Sheffield itself is just too far of a trek for me, especially given it's only a support slot. Starting to get tempted by Cambridge now, especially cos tickets are a fiver. Has anyone ever been to the Junction before? I'd be driving there if I end up going, and I was wondering what the parking is like? Having spent 4 years in Oxford, I hear that Cambridge is similarly car-unfriendly, and if it's going to be a nightmare parking reasonably close to the venue then that will probably set me against going, I think. Anybody got any local knowledge of Cambridge and the likely hassle (or not) of getting to the Junction by car? Much appreciated in advance for anyone who can help.

Well. Basically, next to the Junction there is a huge multi-story car park, as the venue is next to a cinema/food place thing, so there's loads and loads of space there to park. It's really easy to get to as well, if you get directions of the internet or something. So yeah, big car park, go for it.

Good stuff, cheers Max, that's great, thanks! ;D Well, looks like I'll go for that then - getting there shouldn't be a problem even with the Bank Holiday weekend Friday traffic: I was more worried about having to park at the other end of the city and having to trek across a place I'm not at all familiar with on-foot. So a multi-story car park in the immediate area is perfect, and should be nice and easy to find as well. Result. Ok, thanks again Max, imagine I'll see you (you said you were going to this one in this thread, I think?) and a couple of other forum peeps there - I think it should be easy to spot who's there for PRR first and foremost, and the Boxer Rebellion as a bonus!

PRR, TBR, Radar, YoYoYo Litvinyenko (or something) and someone else! Should be a brilliant night, and look forwards to seeing you all there!

I'll make a point to actually speak to you this time, Lawrie. Trains stop running back to Norwich at 11, so I probably won't be staying for the entire gig. I'll actually probably head off after PRR. I tend to get to venues pretty early though so I should be around at the beginning if nothing else.

Cool. So it looks like we have Jemi, Max, myself and possibly musecubed if he's not in severe hangover territory for Cambridge then - anyone else doing this one?

If trains from Cambridge to Norwich stop at 11 you'll have plenty of time. Every gig I've been to at the Junction has finished at around 10:30 maybe 10:45 at the latest. It's about a 10minute walk to the station, so you shouldn't have to leave too early. If anyone wants to say hi to me, my picture is on here, enjoy it. www.last.fm/user/max_kirby

I won't be there...shame really cos I've wanted them (and any other good band) to play Cambridge for a while. I've never been to the Junction but I've seen it and it looks like it's got potential as a cool little number. Let me know if it is!
Still in two minds about La Scala...can I justify another gig when I've seen them twice recently and it's only a support slot? I think I'll make up my mind on the night.

So...obviously the set is going to be a fair bit shorter, as it's a support slot but what do we think is going to get dropped? Is it Ambassadors time to take a back seat? Think that might be what I would say...but I know we've discussed its place in the PRR set over and over again and all have mixed views about it...

It's been consistent, even in support slots. I reckon it'll be there.
