oh my.
that is absolutely TERRIBLE.
How to ruin a perfectly good song in one easy step? get that gobshite to remix it.
I heard somewhere, that two of the guys from SikTh have done a remix of Victorious Cupid....

And you wouldn't be prejudiced at all... I like it, I obviously don't think it's as good as the original, but you can't compare it with the original because it's a totally different thing. Generally I think it's false to say a remix 'ruins' a song, because it's NOT the song, it's a new song. If you don't like the genre then maybe you won't like it, but you have to judge it by electro standards and not by the song's standards. And very funny about SikTh!! Now a SikTh PRR cover I would LOVE to hear!

Ugh, no, not my cup of tea at all...
Sounds like something that'd be played in some sort of nu-rave club. I'll stick with the original.

Ha, I mean, I'm a fan of electro and quite a bit of a remix fiend so I AM judging by the standards of the genre...but thats pretty poor, I'm not a fan of when people just take a line and make it kind of 'stutter' and jump about if you know what I mean. Someone could do ALOT better job with Deus and make an awesome remix but this isn't it. At all.

Fair enough. I agree that someone could do better (Jon comes to mind); I don't want to appear to be defending this creation to the death, btw, but I think it's vaguely interesting and a lot better than some of Bellamy's previous stuff (DON'T listen to his killing in the name job). I really like the bit with Jon's voice by itself over the stripped down riff (and how it comes in at a different tempo), and the build from there, I think it's cool.

and like a deus ex machina she ground mine growing clear; desire before a dawnI think the bold bit includes "ava adore". But that's just the name of a Smashing Pumpkins song, so who knows. And Bellamy really bottled that remix. I hope we do get a good remix at some point...

S'alright. Nothing special. I heard somewhere, that two of the guys from SikTh have done a remix of Victorious Cupid.... The singers? That could be cool. And 'somewhere'?! We know who you are!

Wait, aren't Sikth that crazy metal band? Since when do they do remixes?

Well they've split up now, but yeah.
The singers do production work though.

I have a feeling when the official lyrics come out I'll be rather embarassed about how far out they were.

Check the 'Amor' thread, it seems Chloe said Deus would be the next single, and the first 'official' release from AVO.
