Well...someone's been listening...It's up on the myspace! (Well, a first demo version anyway.)
Loving it! The mixing obviously still needs that bit of tweaking I think, just for depth but it's gonna be awesome when its fully finished. What a tune!

verrry synth-driven but I like it more than the live version I recall from before.

Wow, just checked this forum before I was off to bed, and now bloomin' PRR have gone and messed everything up: I'll be listening to this on constant repeat for ages, and won't be sleeping much tonight!!! It's brilliant as it is (very much what I was hoping for in a studio cut after hearing the Krakow performance on Youtube), how good is this bad boy going to be if this is just a rough-'n'-ready demo?! If any band members stop by this thread, then please be advised that I am currently on my knees doing Wayne's World-style "we're not worthy" chants to the greatness of this song! And cheers BA for the heads-up!

Ok, and like a kid at Christmas, I have just listened to this monster twice more, and I am SO loving the keyboard-y synthesized strings part at 4.10-ish!
New material from PRR: the musical equivalent of giving E-numbers to a toddler with ADD! ;D

Tell me about it, my housemate told me I was crazy purely down to my response to the news the demo of this track was online...I was rather excited!!
Only little thing I would say at this point is when I've seen this track played live, Jon's vocals in the first bit had a little more...punch, if that makes sense? He sounded kinda angsty and I think it worked really well that way. But that really is a pedantic comment...don't get me wrong, I'm loving it!! The harmonies on the chorus are, as usual, superb...but then again, I wouldn't expect anything less!

Halleluiah!!!!
I have very rarely in my life been so excited as I am right now. All our prayers are answered, all the naysayers are conclusively proved WRONG!
Just when I thought we might go through all of January without a snippet of anything, I am utterly blown away by one of PRR's greatest releases to date. Even in an unfinished state it leaves almost nothing to be desired (except perhaps that it would load faster on my computer). Even having heard it live I hadn't expected something so unbelievably GREAT. This is friggin fantastic.
Oh thank you gods of PRR! Truly you have smiled upon us today! I reckon it was worth the six month wait just for this.

Oh, and here's Paul's blog about it, in case anyone hasn't read it yet:
Hello!
And a Happy New Year from all of us! I hope you're all looking forward to the rest of the year as much as we are? It looks like it's going to be an absolute corker! I better not say too much…. or I'll get into trouble or something
Ok so here's a little something new from our little studio…. I've put up a new track called Deus Ex Machina. It was part of our set for the June..July shows and as a result we were overwhelmed with people requesting the studio version. So just to wet your appetites for what's to come… here's a little demo…it ain't finished yet so don't get too excited. Hope you like it; let us know what you think.
I've also put up a few pictures, all taken in the studio. They're just random snaps from my phone, so please don't judge my photography skills!
Paul. x.

I think the repeat button on my ipod is getting a bit unhappy due to overuse...

TUNE!
Holy hell. This is ace. Love the direction they are going in, it's like they've evolved musically with my tastes. That bit at the end is clearly going somewhere beautiful a la Golden Clothes. Utter win. Big fat grin all up on my face now.

Erm...possibly shouldn't advertise the fact on reflection but it's only for my walk to uni so I'm sure it won't get me into too much trouble... there are free programs out there that will just record the sound coming through your PC speakers and turn it into an MP3.

I really like whatever pedals/synths the band have used to make the fuzzy bass sounds at the start of the track - very [Radiohead's] "Myxomatosis"-ish, which is certainly a fine thing!
