You can now subscribe to a mailing list on www.purereasonrevolution.co.uk. My guess is that it'll be the same as the MySpace/Facebook updates, but probably still worth subscribing. Also, the confirmation email contained this: "If you experience any technical difficulties please email chloe@purereasonrevolution.co.uk" ;D Looks like they're the actual muscle behind the website!

Good find/update, FSF! I'm looking forward to PRR having a proper dedicated band website again: the Myspace is fine but is a bit limited in what can be done with it. Hopefully this new boy will get a bit more love and attention (and updating!) than the old Sony purereasonrevolution.com used to...

not really press... ...but... www.play.com/Music/CD/6-/PreOrderChart.htmlthe album is currently sitting at number 40 in the play.com pre-order chart. with a little luck, and a bit more sales, the album could well make the uk charts! And currently 26 in Amazon's pre-order chart. Anyone know how these figures stack up against sales of TDT?

Not sure, to be honest. Wikipedia has the Apprentice single reaching #74, the Bright Ambassadors single as reaching #68, and no other UK chart information for any other PRR release. Either way, while the Amazon and Play pre-order charts are not a cast-iron guarantee of how AVO will do in terms of sales and chart-position overall, the current numbers are surely hugely encouraging. I think it would be a massive achievement if AVO breaks the top 40 in the UK album charts, and the band should quite rightly feel very proud of themselves if that happens. Fingers crossed, eh?

Yeah, I think that might be a bit of stretch, but making it into the top 100 sellers would still be a fine achievement.

Hmm, just received an interesting email from the new PRR mailing list at purereasonrevolution.co.uk: Yadda yadda yadda, all pleasant and welcome stuff, but the bit that intrigued me was a two line fragment in small text at the top of the email: Hmmm, is their mailing list being run by Sony?! That would be a tad ironic, n'est-ce pas? Curiouser and curiouser...

I would hazard a guess that Sony owned the old mailing list and that they are going to send a, as it says, one-off email to people who signed up to that to inform them of news, to make sure theyre not loosing any fans in their label change.

Haha, yes, that has to be it, and I'm a dumbass for not interpreting it properly myself. ;D But still, that seems suspiciously nice on Evil Empire Sony's part...

If you find your email addy won't verify, it maybe because of an additional fullstop at the end of the verification URL. Remove it, and it's fine.
I've emailed Jonathan and Chloe.

Hi dudes!
I don't know how many people have heard the album version of Deus Ex Machina, but we'll be playing it on toneradio.co.uk on my show at 6pm. Additionally, if you keep listening, we're going to be airing the PRR vs Rhysmix remix a bit later on!
Aside from PRR stuff we've got an interview with Derek Sherinian from Dream Theater, so give that a gander.
Cheers!

strangeglue.com/reviews/pure-reason-revolution-amor-vincit-omniaAnother review. Again, some crazy things being said...while it's not terrible, who in their right minds would choose to single out 'Keep Me Sane/Insane' to highlight!! www.sonicdice.com/2009/03/06/albu....r-vincit-onmia/"The area where ‘Amor Vincit Omnia’ redeems itself though is the fact that it actually sounds like an album. In an age where more and more people are ditching the experience of listening to albums all the way through as opposed to shuffling MP3s, this demands to be played in full." - Nice to see that recognised in this one.
