Classic Rock magazine have brought out a special prog issue, which features a full page interview with the band and a full page photo, and also an album review. The magazine costs £7.99, which may be a bit steep to pay for only that - if you are into prog you will most likely buy it, though. I'll have a closer read this evening.

Two full pages in Classic Rock? Isn't that the definition of hitting the big time?

Note : it is NOT Classic Rock magazine itself (although I think they did feature the band in their last issue) but a specialised quarterly Prog offshoot. So only a quarter of the big time

That's a good interview, nice to see that they acknowledge their age range of fans

tourvincitomnia.wordpress.com/2009/04/03/update-from-paul/All intruiging sutff from Paul (finally, after bloody ages of bloglessness!) I'm going to go see wha tthe NME has to say - much as I detest it, I reckon it does have some degree of influence, so let's hope they say nicey stuffy. Has anyone seen this review in the Sun? They gave TDT 5* so would like to see what they've said, but can't find their AVO review online...

Yeah I saw the NME guy at the Berlin gig and he was talking to the band afterwards and apparently said he was going to do a flattering one. But knowing those NME scum I wouldn't be surprised if he stabbed them in the back and wrote a vociferously aweful review. Besides, the show was good, so they must give it a poor review in NME....

Nope, actually, it was very kind. Read it earlier today. Can't remember the phrasing but it called them wonderful exponents of progressive music and said they stood proud against a conservative world. They've already done the damage with their highly unfair album review though. This isn't a prominent part of the mag and it didn't even have a picture. The guy kept his word though.

I don't get how magazines can let their writers publish positive and negative reviews of the same band...

Me neither, mate. There's no way that their 4/10 was justified. And I think they cited Disconnect as THE album highlight - !?!!?

I thought it was Victorious Cupid - at the time of reading I hadn't heard it and thought that actually I couldn't understand THAT.
As it happens, the album version, and when we have lyrics to differentiate the sections, it's absolutely fandabbydoozy...

has the article in the "Classic Rock Presents: PROG" been scanned?..it's an interesting article and the photos. Chloe looked..well different than I recall seeing her. In fact the whole band kind of did.
